Day 19 Update Clones


They are looking way better just needed some nutes and tender loving care. The yellowing on the end of the leaves isn't nute burn pretty sure its just where they didn't recover from my neglect.

Day 53 Flowering Update

I went to my local hydro store Saturday and bitched about my filter being a piece of shit. Well they said come back Monday and ended up with store credit and proceded to spend an extra $100 on a bigger filter that hopefully will work well in my 4x4 tent. Got a Phresh filter rated for 400 cfm. I have my 155 cfm 4" fan hooked up to it until I get my 6". So far it has taken care of all the smell but I have all the windows and sliding glass doors open to air out the pad...Cold as a witches titty! Hopefully here in the next few days I will get the 4x4 up and get the 1000w in there to finish off the flowering.

My 3 plants just stunk up my pad today also the humidity was 70% tonight around 8:30 when lights came on!!! I got the new scrubber hooked up which immediately dropped the humidity to around 30% along with taking care of all the smell.


On Dec. 2nd will be 8 weeks. The Blue Dream is still fattening up and still seeing lots of new growth from the shooting powder. I would say that the orange/white hair ratio is around 50/50 now. I think I'm going to keep flushing the Bubblicious until the 9th or so depending on what the trichs look like when I get my microscope. I would say that almost all the hairs have turned orange. Still few little spots where some new growth had produced a couple white hairs. Should I not water for few days before and should I let it sit for 48 hours with no light before I cut the tops off? I want to leave it under the lights after I cut the top buds off while the Blue Dream finishes so the lower buds can finish. I took the Bubblicious out of the tent and gave it a good watering/flush around gallon and a half. Probably had about 1/2 gallon run-off so around 33%. Today will be that last day I use the Drip Clean the rest will be straight RO water. Snapped few pics while it was sitting in the shower draining.

I would still water them, now sure what drying them out before harvest would do.

Thanks Sicc. Yeah I'm still going to water them. Just wondering what to do the few days before I cut the top buds off? I have read that some people don't water the last few days so the plant puts all its stored sugar and nutes in to the buds. Also read that some people leave the plant in total darkness for 48 hours or so before they cut. Any help on preharvest techniques would help. I still got probably another 7 days or so.

Thanks Sicc can't wait to get my 1000w & 4x4 tent up and running. Order a new 6" vortex 530 cfm fan and talked to the guys at the hydro store about my scrubber. Have to go in Monday so the can call the distributer. I order a hand held microscope that has 100x magnification with a led light on the end so should be able to inspect the trichs a little better.

BTW the clones are recovering well from my neglect. Much greener and some new growth.

Day 53 Flowering Update

I have read that plants are constantly transporting nutrients from roots to leafs and when lights shut off they store energy and nutrients back into the root zone (or carbohydrates or something like that). When lights turn on they transport this stuff back up to the leaves and nugs. I suggest harvesting before lights turn on, 24 hours sounds about right. If this is truly science, i would take advantage of it. I am not sure how much water you want in the pot at harvest. Ive heard some say give them plenty of water, this way they dry slower and cure longer.

Everything is looking fantastic.

The Loupe I have is 30x and I'm sure it's me being retarded but I can see the trichs pretty good but just not the color. So for $8 or $9 it was for the microscope it was worth a shot to be able to see the trichs better.

We don't want any synthetic nutes but I guess I meant the energy/sugars. I guess what I will do is after lights out I will let them sit in the dark for 24 hours. As far the watering goes I'm going to continue to water but do more research on when to stop before harvesting. I think I will water all the way up to the end just because I want to keep the lower buds healthy so I can continue to flower them while the Blue Dream finishes.

Sorry been few days without an update but been really busy. So I got a 1000w light 4x4 tent and every thing to expand the grow and my roommate tells she is bailin at the end of the month! Had it all set up n ready to go then she dropped the bomb. Took it all down and sold everything on craigslist for more than I paid for it! Plants sat in the bathroom for about 2 days but they are still all good. So I checked the trichs on the Bubblicious on Thursday which was exactly 8 weeks and it is back in the bathroom for 36 hours of darkness. I had to use my 30x loupe because my microscope hadn't come yet (here now) and most of them on the top buds where turning amber so time to cut. I would have already taken her down but my work schedule sorta dictating the timing. The Blue Dream has developed way more orange hairs over the last week so it is getting close too. There is still a lot new growth so I'm thinking another 2 weeks or so left. I will post some pics probably tomorrow night when I have some more time.

Flowering Day 58 Update

The Bubblicious is in the bathroom in darkness until tomorrow night. I'm going to check all the buds trichs tomorrow but most of the top buds will be cut. I gave her a big flush tonight just to make sure all of the nutes were out of her. No yellowing of leaves or anything still looking really healthy. BLue Dream is getting more and more orange hairs every day. Checked the trichs tonight and looking like 50/50 clear to cloudy ratio. I think I will give the Blue Dream's one more nute watering then start to flush. I can see the shooting powders effects (Blue Dream A pics 4 & 5)! I really don't want the trichs to get amber like the Bubblicious but mostly all cloudy.

Damn nice bubbles. Blue Dreams looks great too. Just a couple of questions though "How the hell did you keep the bubbilious so green tell harvest? 2. Can you let me know how it taste being so green? I'm on my third bubbilicous grow and really didn't care to much for the green ones first time round, but none have been as green as yours. on the otherside the ones that yellowed were great tasting. My first ones were from nirvana seed, which I used clones from the best male and female of the 10, to produce seed for the the second and third grow. Just trying to improve the taste and affect, any input would be great.

Thanks for stopping in Tuna. Thanks yeah I am very happy at this point with all the problems I had in veg. To be honest I can't really answer your question about how they stayed as green as they are. This is my first run with the Bubblicious. I got it as a clone from a friend and I'm not sure where he had got it from. I was running DWC at first and changed to Coco about a week before I started to flower. If I had to take a guess it would be that I wasn't familiar with coco and I didn't feed/water/feed the whole time through the grow. I didn't start that until about 3 weeks ago. I have been flushing for 7 days now and have run 5 gallons of water through the coco. I use House & Garden Nutes their full line along with Trinity & Nirvana. I also foliar spray using Magic Green about once a month up until 3 week of flowering and used Fossil Fuel/SM90 mix about once a month. I will definitely let you know on the smoke report but again I probably won't know the difference becuase I haven't harvested the Bubblcious without green leaves and smoked it. I have seen a few Auto Bubblicious journals here over the past few weeks who have harvested with green leaves but as far I know my wasn't an auto. Also saw another person with multi-strain running a Bubblicious. I'm going to snap some more pics here tonight before I cut. Also I'm going to put it back in to let the bottom buds ripen a bit more. I was told it was an 8 to 9 week strain and day 56 8 weeks right on the dot I checked the trichs and they were mostly all amber. Had to let it go few extra days becuase of work so I haven't had the time to cut and trim until tonight.

I got the scope in the mail and checked it out last night and it is hard to use. The directions say to place what ever you are looking flat and put the scope on top of it. Pretty hard to inspect trichs on a growing plant with curved buds. I used it last night and it is hard to adjust the focus while having the scope pressed up against a bud! I ended up with a bunch of trichs stuck to it so I wiped them off with my finger and tasted and it was GOOD tasting!!

Thanks Aev...I can't wait! LOL I guess Hash gets better with age! I sold everything actually got more money than I paid for it. I had a full set-up to start runnin a 1000w but my roommate came home and said she was bailin at the end of the month so I took it all down and sold it becuase not sure where I'm going to be living in 25 days! I traded my ballast for a 600w set-up so I'm running that in my 2x4 tent to finish them off.

Cool!! I can't wait for them cutting to commence here in about an hour. I picked up few mason jars here the other day so I'm good to go when the nugs dry.

What's a good humidity to let the buds dry at? 45-50% too high? About to look around the forums quick to see about a butter recipe. Also when I grew outdoor I just dried my leaf on screens and made kief is that what you guys do...meaning dry your leaf on screens?

That humidity is fine. As for the screens i never went that route. all i did was trim the plant and hung her upside down after separating all the branches from the main stem. I'd seriously watch about the whole stem snapping thing to for optimal dryness.

because even now after 4 days drying and over a week curing the weed is only slightly damp and kinda hard on the surface. but the stem still bends and doesn't snap.

If i would have let my bud keep drying until the stems snapped i would have no moisture left for curing. hands down.

Flowering Day 59 Update

Hmmmm I don't know what to do. I checked the trichs the other day but now seems that they are still milky. I don't if the light is fooling my eyes or what??? Under just regular house lights the trichs look quite amber/sandy colored but when I use the LED light on my micro scope and look through my loupe they look milky like they did 8 days ago. I don't know what to do. I might take one of the Blue Dreams out and inspect the trichs with and without the LED light under the same lights and see what they look like.
The Bubblicious looks like it is done. All of the hairs for the exception of few are dark orange.

Here are some pics check them out and let me know what you think.

The Next 4 pics the 1st & 3rd was taken using the loupe in front of the lens of my camera and the 2nd & 4th is the same pic just cropped on my computer.

Just not sure if I should trust the Loupe and the LED or the loupe and my house lighting. Going to go pull a Blue Dream from the tent and check it out. Should give me a better idea because I know it still needs another 10 days or so. Report back shortly.

I checked out the calyx's and they looked like they were done compared to the Blue Dream and some other pics I saw on RIU. I cut some trim leaves off and inspected them under the microscope and it looked like 50% of the trichs had amber in the mushroom tops. So turned out the microscope did help out! Off to cutting bud porn later.

you can always clip a small sample of one of the popcorn sized nugs quick dry and smoke it to see if you like the high.
