It's a pleasure you have you ladies around to cheer me on! At this rate I might veg longer then I originally planned (if they are going to be this short) I've also read that people have had more potent buds from this strain when they let veg longer then just long enough.... I have the time so I'm going to let them just grow for at least 6-8 weeks before flipping the switch. Barbie, patients is one thing I am learning in spades, my last grow was just one plant that took 5 months to finish and I should've let her go another couple weeks I think.... I waited 17 weeks and 6 days into flower before I chopped! (that's why this one is a quick finisher. I had enough long waiting for now.)
TR - what the hell strain did you flower for 18 weeks? However, I am a firm believer in the 45 day veg....not 30 like most folks.... no matter how long you veg... we'll be here for you.... and I'm sure stoner barbie will be lurking around a tree (or plant) somewhere.... LMAO.

A Thai Super Skunk. Almost completely sativa. Known for it's height, airy buds and long long flower time. I'm definitely going to be vegging longer then most this grow especially considering that I could finish in as early as 48 days once I start to flower.

I tried my hand at my first FIM today. I'll get a pic if I can before I split for a little while to celebrate Jesus' B-Day. I'll probly FIM the rest of them if I like the results.
I cut the SK#1.

It's Tuesday. Here's some pictures...

I threw a couple in there at the beginning of my FIM job from yesterday, what do you think?

PS ~ I think pic #4 and #7 are of the same phenom and that #5 is the primarily indica phenom of AK48. Sweet. I have some of each known phenom of this plant and two of the three lean toward the end of the spectrum I favor most. :)

The girls have definitely taken root in their new homes, they are really starting to take off now...

I have an entire journal up on it, let me see... Here it is.
It took so long I don't even wanna think about it right now, the wait was killer, but now that I'm enjoying her, the wait for these girl is just pure joy and excitement! :)
I hope to come back from a long winters nap to find even more then two tops on her Kiki, I thought that was the entire draw of the FIM was the multi topped plants that resulted.... i guess only time will tell, see, exciting! :)

Last update for a little while,
I watered tonight and in the last couple of gallons I poured over the girls I added one Tbsp of Liquid Karma and one Tbsp of Big Bloom as well as a tsp of cal mag plus for good measure. Waters PH was 6.4
I also FIM'ed two of the three AK48's, I'm anxious to see what differing results I get from 3 'FIM' prunings.... I hope to be amazed by the progress of my next update... and I have a feeling I will be :blsmoke:

God bless and Merry Christmas everyone!

Ok, here's the progress.... I'm pretty amazed when I put the pics from the 23rd beside these and compair...
I even unleashed a secrete weapon! Go forth and eat bad things my little minions! Muwahahaha...
Things are stinky, stinkier then I thought they would be at this point... that might become a hurdle in the next few months.
It's hard to see in the pics, (I'll get more when it becomes more visible) but I think I may come out with more than two tops on some of these cuts!
I don't know about the way some of these leaves are growing in now, but I appear to have totally thrown off what a couple of these plants were doing, they don't know what to do with the mangled tips that got snipped....

wew hew!! Looking awesome TR... very nice update - and I like to lady bugs too!
Thank you kindly, it's good to be back! I think we need to talk about FIM'ing techniques because I have clearly been miss led about the entire purpose of this type of cut... some of the new fan leaves are growing (even though all of the leaf tips were removed) it looks strange to see a healthy leaf growing that's so miss shaped. There is one plant that appears to have 4 tops on the way and another with 3 (though one of the three tops is visibly smaller at the moment)... I hope I haven't stunted the growth by much by doing what I did, but once the girls figure out how they want to direct their hormones I think I'm going to be happy with the all the added fullness of the canopy. :)

The gardeners friend indeed. Just in case any little critters were getting an ideas, the lady bugs should wipe out anything - even if I don't know about it yet...

As for the FIM - fuck, I missed indeed... I'm pretty excited to see what comes of it.... it looks like the same effects you'd get from topping (the node below is sprouting up two tops), but the growth in the very middle of the plant hasn't completely given up yet and is trying to decide what exactly it's going to do as well.

I'm going to let them go a couple more weeks, after that last explosive week of growth I can't wait to see where I am in two more weeks! :)

I have about 5 gallons of tap water sitting out to dechlorinate right now,
later tonight I'll add a little bit of peruvian sea bird guanno, worm castings, maxicrop liquid seaweed,
F.F. Big Bloom, and a little Liquid Karma from Botanicare to it and throw a airhose with a couple airstones on it into the bottom of the bucket
and let it brew and bubble until sometime tomorrow. I'm going to brew as if it were only two gallons but in a five gallon bucket full so it should be pretty diluted and weak.
This should be entirely organic, and is only a precursor to the real brew the ladies are going to get in about 2-3 weeks which is going to be much more concentrated and include Mexican Bat guano instead of the Peruvian seabird guano.... think of this as a test, I want to know how hungry this strain is....

<rant>
Remember folks, what we are doing here is fighting a broken system, growing cannabis is a way to say to the cartels and rebel terrorists all over the world that the profits from it being sold are not going to support their agendas and wars. I don't care how conspiracy theorist it sounds, it's true. The aforementioned groups are the ones selling in bulk because the government won't let us regulate and tax it so where do you think the money goes? Somewhere it shouldn't, that's where. Every dollar you save by growing your own is a dollar taken away from people willing to steal, rob, and murder over a common plant. Thanks Big Brother! Once again follow the money in any situation and find out the truth and agendas. This will always hold true.
