Mighty Midwest Growers Thread

LOL. I didn't even grow up in this country and here I am buried in the heartland. When I moved to the states I lived on the east coast for a long time. When I moved out here I thought it would just be more of the same but the midwest, however you define it, is not the same planet I thought I lived on. I think I'll retire in Virginia one of these days. Anyhow, I'm not qualified to comment on what the midwest is.

Funny cause I live in one of those states and some of the signs entering the state say's welcome to the Midwest....personally I wouldn't consider Michigan ,Indiana,or Ohio in the Midwest....whodat....your in....and it's not cause of where you live....it's the frosty nuggs!!!!

I try not to think about the South at all, lol. It's all pretty right wing. Miami has a weird thing going on with the Cuban angle.

I just like the Chesapeake Bay region. Delaware, Maryland, Virginia. Fucking Historic, innit. Got rivers, mountains, the ocean.

I love being a midwest gardener though. The soil is so great.

I know this isn't the right forum for the question but I want to stay loyal to the midwest lol...do you guys flush before 12/12 or how often do you flush?

Whats up bro...lets see a pic of the emitters.....I tried emitters once on my WW & WR grow and they pissed me off....I needed 4 of em in each bucket to get an even watering...and it took so much pressure to run em...that's when I started making drip rings....well water rings would be more appropriate...they don't really drip at all....now I'm running a dual water ring in my one plant....I have found that instead of using the punch tool to make the holes use an 1/8" drill bit.....I used a torch to heat up the bit then just poked it in the ring....this way you have a nice hole instead of a punched hole.....the punched holes like to clog.....I'll try to get a good pick of my dual drip(water) ring today to show you what I'm talking about....as for the pump....my dual water ring is feed by 4 1/4" feeder lines coming off the pump....I tried it with just two but I didn't get flow out of all the holes....the pump I am using is a 526GPH pump and it is working fkn great....when I am watering it takes about 10 min. to get 8gal. fed to the plant....almost too fast....I forget about it alot and come down 30min. after I start the water and the pump smells hot.....LOL.....still working great tho.....

I love my setup man...too easy....with the drain and all.....just mix nutes and go....can't believe more people don't grow in soil like this.

Thanks Endless....Sweet man I will make drip rings then. Check out this Grand Daddy Purple I picked up. This is some bomb shit and I know.

I flush pretty often....although I am feeding 6-8gal. of nutes to 10gal of soil....Like with this grow I flushed at the 12/12 flip...then so far I have flushed twice in flower and I'm probably at week 6...I do it cause of the amounts of nutes I am giving to the soil, I don't want to have a nute lockout...pretty much a preventative maint....Although my flush Isn't with just plain water....and it's not really a big flush...It's with a 10gal. batch of 1/4 strength micro solution of the GH3part formula...and a touch of Hygrozyme...I try to feed three times then do a flush...then feed three times then flush..and so on....but when I flush before harvest it is with plain water a week before chop....hope this helps.

Nice link, I know growers that don't flush at all. Just water for last ten days and these are vets. With next grow with smart pots I will not be flushing at all. I was always under the impression that flushing is letting the water run out the pots. I prob am wrong but enlighten me.

A true flush is watering with three times the amount of soil in your pots with just plain water......from what I've seen the guys that aren't flushing also are the guys that are using a "living soil" or only nuting a half strength the whole way through...........I was pushing 1000ppm when the buds were packing it on...now I'm back to 650-700

NUGS Looking good! How much you think you will get out of her? Is it close too being finished?

When you gonna come down? Me and C went on a drive and tested out 5 diff. strains and ranked them it was a mind blower.
Sour Bubba was the best one! We didn't smoke that OG though it would've been rite with it.

It's gonna be a while....got the new job....on call every other week...and he is super pissed at me I think....I told him exactly what I thought about his relationship and he didn't take it very well...IDK...whatever....anyway....def. going over 4ozs on this one for sure....hoping...fingers crossed,,,for 5+.....been backing off on the nutes but I wish I would of went another water with strong nutes....she is sucking up the N like crazy and starting to yellow way too soon...maybe not tho....probably like 3 more weeks or so and I'll chop...so with that being said...been watering every 5 days...I'll probably water with nutes 3 more times(the 22nd,the 27th,the 4th) and then start the flush.....and 5-7 days after the last nuteing I'll give a super flush of like 4-5 gal everyday for 3-4 days....then let em dry out till the weekend and harvest on the weekend of the 18th.....atleast thats kindof the plan I'll stick to....If they start to look like it will be any sooner I will only give 2 more nutings.....IDK...I'm still not smoking yet so it's whatever....not in a big hurry since I'll be harvesting sober....that's gonna suck!!!!!

Edit.....and he still has OG left??????wow.....wish I could save nuggs for 4-6months
