Brick top, I admire you and respect your knowledge but you talk of morals, honesty and slipping acid into someones beer?
I did not say that I ever did it, because I never did it. I said I never knew a dealer that misrepresented what they sold but in that time, in that era and in my area if a dealer did rip people off in some way or another people, other people, not me, would dose them.
I've done a lot of acid, and if you told me you were gonna give me acid id say thank you, but unknowingly slipping it into someones drink can have serious mental side affects that last a lot longer than the acid. If I didn't know why I was tripping, and wasn't comfortable with it, I would be extremely uncool with it even though I've done it many times.
I agree, an unexpected trip is not cool and the gang to experience, especially when given enough to make an elephant trip their brains out. But that is what some people I knew did to dealers that ripped people off.
I did not say it was right to do, and I did not say it was wrong to do. I only said that is what was done a few times. While not cool and the gang it was somewhat a case of 'frontier justice.' We were all 'hippies' and no one was going to beat someone up and no one was going to rat someone out to the cops, but there were ones who would not sit back and do nothing when there was a dealer ripping people off, so they took matters into their own hands.
I dropped a lot of acid, and about every other type hallucinogenic, in my youth and I was lucky enough to never have a 'bad trip' and only once was I around someone who did, and it was not fun. Four of us did some four way windowpane and even before we were peaking one of my friends was staring at the rest of us and had a scowl on his face. Finally he said, I didn't see Johnny take anything, he said he thought he saw me take some but wasn't sure, and the other friend was a friend of mine from college and the guy said, and I don't know that guy at all and I didn't see him take anything ... and there is no way you guys could just be sitting there like that if you felt like I do .... what did you give me?
Of course other than his state of mind he was sitting there just like the rest of us, watching "The Wizard of Oz," but he convinced himself that we were straight and had dosed him heavily and it took a lot of talking over what seemed like a long period of time to get him to chill.
