Damn, thats a long trip for weed - I hope you are able to grow what you need now, that is easier, cheaper & much more satisfying.
Yep I sure hope this works out. I'm 'dry' for the first time in ... over 20 years, until this grow harvest's. Smoking so much nicotine I'm turning yellow haha! Also after reading about single plant crop expectations I've started a second seed, ordered a 2nd cfl, and will get some more chain today and take it to 4 plants.

Not into this to make profit, just want a regular supply, and I've been pondering how to stagger grows to maintain a regular personal supply.

There isn't anything wrong with your plant - those are branches you see coming out down lower.
Keep doing what you're already doing. :-P

Topping, LST etc. are techniques generally aimed at keeping the height of the plant in check - so far you don't have that problem.

1. The fan leaves are yellowing at the bottom of the plant . Should I cut them off or leave them ?
2. Its been about 25 days of vegging and is about 1 foot high and stuffed to the brim with growth. Should I 12/12 it yet ?

Looks like you might have a bit of an N deficiency.
Personally I would allow the leaves to drop naturally & not remove them at that stage.

ok re fan leafs ,
N deficiency. Nitrogen. The only 'nutes' I have is tomato food concentrate. ( Which I have not used on the plants very much for fear of overdoing it )
The back of the concentrate says N = 4 percent. Should I use a different nute ?

What is the brand name on your fert?
What is the N-P-K ratio?
What is the recommended dosage?

Well GWN, the guy in the gardening shop said mix one third of a capful in with each 2 litre bottle of spring water that I use for watering the plants, the carton says 20 mL to 4.5 litre water.
The carton says NPK fertiliser solution 4-4-8. The brand name is B&Q - the stores own label
I've been studying the forums like billy-o and agree it is a N problem, as there is no leaf curl to speak of.
The soil Ive used is organic peat free compost.
I have been overwatering the plants - one of the pots became waterlogged and the seedling heavily yellowed, now Im watering just once every 3 days.
Overwatering may not be true of the big plant in the foto, with all that growth it'll need a drop more than the seedlings surely.
There is one other possibility - too much light, but with low heat CFL's I wouldnt have thought that was the issue.
I'm not sure wether I should ramp up the nute feed, or what I should do, the seedlings are yellowing too. Maybe it was overwatering. Maybe not enough nutes. Maybe too much light. Maybe I'm worrrying too much and the plants are picking up on my stress kharma hehe!

First off you are not giving it too much light - that is not possible with CFL's.
As for nutes:
"In the vegetative stage, a good 20 - 20 - 20 supplement is often adequate to maintain proper growth and development. Most growers dilute this formula to one-half or one-quarter strength, as marijuana does not tolerate full-strength nutrient feedings well. This can be given once or twice a week, although some growers use it at every feeding.

In the flowering stage, a higher ratio of phosphorus is needed to promote and encourage flowering, as these flowers are the bud sites, and the number of flowers affect the end yield. Phosphorus alone, or phosphorus in a higher ratio - 10 - 30 - 10, is often used in this stage."

Personally I'd dump the fert you have & go to a gardening center and pick up a good name brand mix with something close to the numbers above. As for over watering - pick up the container after you water & note how heavy it is, then when you think it might be time to water, pick up the pot again - it should be noticibly lighter than before. Also you can stick your finger down a couple inches into the soil - don't water if its still wet down there and seedlings are very sensitive to over watering so be careful. Also, do not fert seedlings - they don't need it & you will burn them.
Take a deep breath & relax - don't stress over this, you'll get it.

Oh, and welcome to RIU my friend.

Oh, and welcome to RIU my friend.

ok thanks for the heads up GWN .. and the welcome :)
Will look for some 20-20-20 come the weekend.
Getting the watering correct will be the key to success. Stuck my finger right down into the edge of the pot tonight it was dry as a bone so Ive watered it. I'm wondering if theres some kind of moisture meter I could utilise, meanwhile i'll try the pot lifting method :)

Oh and puffin strong - them plants are looking good friend :)
