I had to show my birth certificate to get an I.D. , I think the requirement to become president should be at least as strict as I have to go through to get ID to purchace alcohol

obama's birth certificate, posted online, is sufficient to obtain a passport. which means an id is no problem.

so your point is empty and vacuous.

You need to show them the one with a raised seal on it, in person, they won't accept a copy.

No, its not. Obama's Certification is a short form birth certificate, just ask the Hawaiian Government. Short form Birth Certificates do not have Doctors signatures.

From the State. travel. gov website

*A certified birth certificate has a registrar's raised, embossed, impressed or multicolored seal, registrar's signature, and the date the certificate was filed with the registrar's office, which must be within 1 year of your birth. Please note, some short (abstract) versions of birth certificates may not be acceptable for passport purposes.

let's play semantics,

unfortunately for you, Hawaii's Certificate of Live Birth isn't one of those "...short (abstract) versions..." that "may not be acceptable". it is the opposite. Hawaii's COLB IS acceptable for passport purposes.

the birth certificate is only part of my OP. i havent researched any of those other parts, but do they exist and is it normal to keep them under wraps?

i seem to remember they hated reagan for not providing medical records or some such stuff. is all this stuff supposed to be secret?

seriously, not party line, seriously.

Sorry bub,I already addressed this issue in Post #14. If you want to get a driver license this is what you need to bring with, let me directly quote it again.

"In order to process your application, DHHL utilizes information that is found only on the original Certificate of Live Birth." the qualifications state. "This is a more complete record of your birth than the Certification of Live Birth (a computer-generated printout). Submitting the original Certificate of Live Birth will save you time and money since the computer-generated Certification requires additional verification by DHHL."

Not saying you can't get it, but even the Drivers division of Hawaii KNOWS there is a distinction between a CERTIFICATION ( what Obama has) and a CERTIFICATE ( which is the long form). I think most of you just glaze over the fact that a CERTIFICATE is different than a CERTIFICATION, for some reason you believe them to be one and the same.

Now reread what you just posted knowing that a CERTIFICATION is not the long form. Obama does not have a certificate , he has a certification.

people keep saying they lost their original birth certificate...

so what, the short form is 10 bucks and the long form is 16 bucks (from the Illinois Dept of Vital Statistics), or it was 4 years ago when I had to replace mine...

I'll loan Obama 16 bucks if he needs it

wow you actually named dropped Trump...the guy who said he couldn't announce if he running for POTUS until after his TV show...which is more important ??????
What does when he announces have to do with whether obama was born here? You seem to be mixing up unrelated points?

That isn't really your argument is it? BTW Lets be perfectly clear on something here. I believe he is who he says he is, I really DO think he was born in Hawaii. I don't know how many times I have espoused that stand in every birther thread here. Playing Devils Advocate is probably a much better learning experience than just towing the same old line for your whole life. Also by playing advocate you get a much better grasp of critical thinking when you get to hear how you would sound if you were on your normal side. OK?
