One of the biggest problems with all the arguments on RIU is people's lack of being able to tell tone on here, if only there were more obvious ways to show jokes haha
And this is why like budlover states, i try to use correct terminology when i can. Poplar would have us think that this could never ever happen but surprise surprise it does. I mean it's hardly rocket science to type your language, and as said, the difference in "one" and "you" is huge, i use these terms often for the very reason that they change the message so greatly, from a point of view to a direct insult. When i say this though, it's not to say i go around berating every spelling or grammar mistake i see, often enough i can work out what is being said.
As backwards as it makes me, that is one instance where emotions almost get the better of me, when people ignore a point you've made and just reply with "i don't even know what the fuck you're trying t say" etc because you got a couple of letters back to front, that is always a clear sign of someone being negative just for the sake of it, on those occasions though i point out how obvious the true meaning was, tell them the true meaning and continue waiting for the reply, normally not forthcoming. I try but i' still only human, like all of you. I just cannot see any logical reasoning to it though, being given the ability to swear at trolls is hugely counter productive and just plays straight into their hands.
If one goes into a disagreement with the mindset of a peacekeeper, he will be able to not only encourage more peace than is already there, but also is able to mentally and psychologically detach himself from the argument.
