Don't be jelly over my likes.....go find your own!
EDIT: It is good in certain circumstances fdd.Like them deeper trees you mentioned.Between some braid and some of them jigs you could probably pull up some of those fattys from down there.Just a thought.I feel ya thougon the braid, some like some don't.I only use it in certain situations.
Ya, If I was fishing around logs or branches I might switch to mono. One good thing with braided is this year I haven't lost a lure or had my line break with a fish on.It does suck.
When your usin 100# power pro and your hung up!
I agree, but if your fishing the pads and get hung up on one real good, with braided you can just rip them from their roots.once a fish wraps around one of those branches you could have chain on your rod, you're still not gonna land him.

i run 20 pound trilene on my 11 foot bay fishing rod. i land 200 pound stingrays on it all day long. they spool me before they break my line. i've set the hook on some of those bad boys only to have them take off and never stop. i torque the drag all the way down and burn both my thumbs trying to stop them. the line runs out to the end of the spool then simply goes "ting" and snaps at the spindle. damn fish never even knew he was hooked. i can only imagine how big they are.
crappie are real good over an open fire,i'm in it simply for the battle of it all. i'm an all around "catch and release" kinda guy.
my wife just went to the grocery store. she's gonna pick me up a box of gordon's butterfly shrimp and a porterhouse steak. beats have to clean up fish guts any day.
i do want to get into some pan fishing though. my wife and son would love it. we have a lot of crappie up here.
dropped the boat off this morning. he's gonna pull the carbs apart and also add on a water separator to my fuel line. estimates at 500 dollars and week to get it done. he's pretty busy right now. very trustworthy mechanic though.
pretty much all my fishing is done to prove my superiority over the fish itself. In open water any thing can be done. What the hell are you doin catchin 200# rays?
We snag rays to use their wings for goliath grouper.Candy.
Nice!!! I just bought some of those rubber fish with the grooves in the side on the left of the pic. except smaller and in perch pattern and colors.
You and i have the same priorities.Check out some Goliath Grouper fishin on the west cost of fl on youtube.Maybe ya could come on down and we can get our smoke on and screw around with some 4...5...6...700 pd fish,mono-e-mono.This is FISHIN though,200-250# mono on a 9/0-12/0 with the drag LOCKED DOWN.pretty much all my fishing is done to prove my superiority over the fish itself.
we just catch 'em and let 'em go.
Nice find.I dig those little salamander replicas.
14 yrs old i fought a ray down in the Fl keys,6 hrs later and 3 times waiting it out so it would come out from under all that sand they flic up on to them selves before it came to shore, est between 250-300 pds.Biggest ray i ever caught.a 200lb ray can suction itself pretty nicely on the floorbed making them almost impossible to reel in
