I made a minor upgrade to my tent today...i decided to try an "exhale c02 bag" which from what i understand is perfect for a 4x4 tent.....i dont have a ppm meter or anything but i have noticed the hydro shop a a hard time keeping it in stock.....but anyways i got the bag hanging up high in the tent and i had to modify the ductwork on the cooltube in anticipation of sealing the growroom off.......i also applied bushmaster to the girls today as 4 out of 6 of them are already over 2' tall and i want them to get over 3' .........just a few hairs popping out as of now.....nothing to get excited over............and the nitrogen deficiency seems to be taken care of

Day 7 of flowering

Sup Kushgroove? Long time no see! love the new setup, sure beats the other one you had! I will be interested to see your results with the led/cmh light setup! I have another journal up too, so stop by! I am glad you decided to finally grow in soil! You will be a lot less stressed out over ppms and ph! And you can go out of town now for a couple days! Anyways, I noticed some white spots on some of your leaves...hope its not Powdered mildew!

okay guys....i hate to say it but my little adventure into the world of c02 was a total disaster..........i didnt realize it but my temps rose to about 96F once i sealed the tent.....i opened up my tent about an hour after the lights came on 8/21 to super a lot of hot air and it was damn near raining inside my tent...lol........anyways, my girls payed the price a little bit but im sure they will be alright......so i ended up exhausting the tent and reopening the mesh vents on 8/22 after one day of led only due to the heat issues......
after researching the sealed grow room thing a bit more i realized i jumped the gun on purchasing the c02....in my situation its going to be virtually impossible to have a sealed growroom until winter when i need the extra heat.............lesson learned.........the hard way

what up brother...yeah this setup is just a bit better than the last and i am definitely enjoying the benefits of soil.....hydro grows a bit faster but i think i prefer soil now....and as for the powdery mildew, that is actually diatomaceous earth

OK Kush riddle me this how in the hell do you keep the tent walls from caving in? I run a Vortex 4" on the intake and a 6" Sun leaves Wind tunnel both on Rheostats with a Phresh 6 x 24 filter in the tent. I am afraid to crank the 6" up even with the 4" at full throttle and one vent intake flap open my 120 tent walls suck in at least a foot is that normal or just to much flow out? Main concern is keeping the 400CMH in the radiant hood cool enough. Thoughts? Oh forgot to tell you the ladies you have are extremely pretty and deserve a red carpet treatment on their beheading debut.

sounds like you may have way to much airflow, my tent sucks in but not enought to make me worry or question it.....i actually run a passive intake and two exhausts, a 4"duct fan which pulls air from the tent and a 4" axial fan which pulls through the cooltube and also from the tent
i think i may be misunderstanding you....how do you exhaust if your 4" is intake and the 6" is also venting in the tent
i would try exhausting with the 4".....just crank it down until your happy with the airflow.....also opening up the other intake flaps allows more air into the tent which help a little with the tent sucking in

I have both fans mounted outside of the tent in an Attic with with a direct tap off on the 4" from an AC duct 2 feet max to fan intake and about 8 feet thru the ceiling to the bottom of the tent intake boot. Both are almost straight runs no bends. The 8" (inside I put a 6" metal flex duct) found 50 feet of 8" in the bag on the highway a couple years ago.The exhaust side of the 6" fan is approximately 8 feet a straight run to an attic vent. Just to much CFM on the exhaust I guess, I put in some 15amp rheostats in the wall behind the tent. Even with rheostats on both fans there just seems to be no way to control the negative pressure change and the walls from caving in a foot. I have opened the vent flaps but my concerns are when I push to flower external light may come into play. Since you are not pulling through a filter and just directly through the tube how many CFM's do you estimate you are requiring to keep the CMH temp where you want it and what temps does your setup maintain? Just a noob trying to get it right like the rest of us. Do you think I can be happy with 77 -83* at the hood? The higher my hood temps the less crushing of the tent walls as fan speed comes into play.

sounds like a pretty cool setup....thats definitely a plus being able to tap in to the ac duct like that..the duct fan is rated at 80cfm and the axial fan at 115cmh....so i would say 200cfm is plenty, thats enough to keep my tent at the same temperature as my garage with the lights on....in my opinion 77F-83F is as good as it gets

Thanks Kush looks like I will just keep things as it is. Night time temps average 76 and when the 400 kicks on I climb to 83 so like always thank you. Now off to check the ladies and I had another lady pop a Nirvana Master Kush one more to play in the dirt.

just switching the light schedule to 12 hours of light and 12 hours of darkness will "trick" the plant into going into flowering mode ..... it thinks its fall time and will run its coarse and start to produce buds...... sorry about the third party info i know ya asked kush haha.

well you got two choices, either buy her a $500 coach purse or put a gun to her head and she'll do whatever you ask.....jk.....curly hit the nail on head
