You views on what legalization would do match mine..and I agree that most people wanting to make a living in med cannabis have no idea how legalization would ruin that plan. Also your assessment for pricing I agree with...it's the best time ever. That could be very much true.

To finish "big business" Yes, I think you are overestimating the number of companies (and people) that screw us. The vast majority of companies in The US even huge ones..do business honorably.
The problem lies in the fact that the few who manipulate things and screw us, are MEGA HUGE. It's not that many % wise. Or people wise. It's the handful in MEGA HUGE business like Oil, Pharmaceutical, Cell phone,Insurance..and some others. But again, it's not the number, it's the power they wield due to size.

bob i was just looking through this forum which has exploded and would like to remind you that we are a seizure for profit state. let me explain how that works cause it seems like you dont understand. for example big daddys compassion center is raided a ton of meds are confiscated with 25,000 in the safe along with it. your local or state or federal agency walks out pressing no charges and keeping that money .........a few hours later they open back up ....... never ever ever to see anything seized aging.when they come to your house take all of your equipment destroy your plants and then take all your cash in the safe(sal agro) what do you call what they are doing with that money!

The compassion club that re opened with no charges filed, probably took a deal from the State. They obviously have deep pockets, or they would't have been able to re open after a seizure of that Magnatude.
Example: State says..Well, you got $25k in cash, that's 15k over the cash transaction size set by the federal government, and you can't show us any deposit slips showing cash flow of this magnitude. And you've got 13 lbs of cannabis, over the highest card count you can come up with. We have a problem MR. Dispensary.

Dispensary owner says: But we didn't know! We thought that we could just put the cash directly in our pockets rather than go through that whole banking thing. We thought we could have that much cannabis on hand being a dispensary and all.

State says: Really, we find that hard to believe. I'm afraid we'll have to shut you down, sieze everything and file charges against the individuals responsible.

Dispensary says: Is there anything we can do? We were only trying to help.

State Says: well, I suppose we could keep the cannabis that was over the limit for your cards. And I suppose we could keep the cash that you can't show proper accounting for. Those would cover our expenses for this whole event. If you can agree to that. We'll take you at your word, and allow you to reopen.

Dispensary say: Oh! Thank You Mr State. We''l never do it again! thank's for Clarifying!

In the real world..it goes a lot more like that...

You may view that as State Extortion...I view that as State leniency.

I have 3 friends in Ionia county that have been raided. All are caregiver operations of 5 patients 60 plants.
All were caught with too many plants, and too much dry product. In all 3 cases, the cops killed enough of the smallest plants to get plant count right. Then took all the dry marijuana over the 12.5 he was allowed by card counts. Filed no charges.
Said to the grower: Okay, that gets you back to proper levels. Next time we will view it as intentional and press charger. Please comply in the future. Have a nice day.

I don't know of any studies that concludes cannabis cures cancer. I know of many that point to the fact it helps. And if we get to the point where it's legal for all to grow in their backyard in large quantities..well that would be great...but it would reduce the value of cannabis to that of one of it's nick names.."grass'.....I'll give you all the grass clippings from my lawn that you want..hell, I'll pay you to haul them away.

I PERSONALLY know 3 growers in Ionia county that were raided...and although I may not be "inside" your group..I'm very familiar with the "INSIDE' thinking of the of law maker, politicians and bug business leaders. If you've read my posts, I've explained that I was invoved in big business for years...that's where I got the knowledge.

I'm glad you're over it. I go on first hand info all the time. And I agree, when you look at an article from the person that GOT busted..it's one sided. I've gone to the school of "hard knocks, disappointment and heartbreak" and I graduated with my "welcome to the real world" diploma.

Then I entered the real world, worked my ass off, conformed in society, made a great living. What I've never done is bitch about "THE MAN KEEPING ME DOWN". I've simply learned that he can't. Not if you work hard and take responsibility for your actions.

By the way..people with a badge are taught to assume nothing. Not to assume the worst. They are taught to asses a situation as it develops.

They have learned to be prepared for the worst. They don't assume a traffic stop won't escalate. They don't assume a domestic violence call will be safe for them.

Sorry you're about you being part of a movement. Movements by definition only go so far. Like a bowel movement. goes so far, then flushed down the toilet. I'm part of a revolution, which like the name implys keeps coming back. I've probably been advocating and working towards medical and even decriminalization of cannabis since before you were born. And you probably only jumped on board after my generation earned the medical law rights.

I've acknowledged that the younger generation voted for these laws. But where were they for the years upon years we worked to get them on the ballot? Still in diapers?
