I am using roots organic soil. They first sprouted o the 1st, and on the 12th they started to show signs of a deficiency of some sort. I had not used any CalMag at all until that day. On the 12th I watered with RO water that had 2.75ml of CalMag per gallon. On the 16th I watered with quarter strength Buddha Grow nutes. Yesterday I put them into their pots and just used plain RO water with no CalMag. I know our tap water is horrible here in AZ so I originally chose to use RO with CalMag. DO you guys think I should just let the tap water sit out over night and use that instead?

If the last pic you posted... I would say over watering maybe? Or PH problem causing lockup.... What is your PH?

No no.. No new problem. Just wondering more on the tap water. Should I switch over to using tap water or continue with water/calmag mix.

What ever works best for you is what it comes down to...
RO water seems to take an hour to fill rez. I fill with tap water mix nutrients adjust PH and let stand over night... Have never used cal mag... Ro water is great for flushing before harvest....
yoyo, sub'd...looking good...patience is a virtue.
i have only used ro water was flushing...usually cold ro water, i used warm ro water once and had a 5 day flush that was beautiful. as for running ro water for each feeding, i would say that if you dont mind the hassle or extra $$$, then by all means, continue with the ro water. if your tap water is decent enough that you drink it and brush your teeth with it...i'd say that is fine to use. just be sure to always check the ph. i stay between 5.6 - 5.9....my tap water comes in between 6.9 - 7.6, after nutes, im usually around 6.2 - 6.4 and i ph down. it really comes down to paying attention to your ladies and making sure they are happy. i am in a semi-dry climate and my humidity usually sits around 30%. currently, i have some clones in my tent with my 1000w. i will be flowering in a few days, so then i will move them under my t-5.
anyway, water comes down to preference, i think it truly only matters when it comes to flushing and when starting clones. ill be following, don't sweat the small stuff, it's a weed after all.

i recomend a 20-4 light sched. for veg. its important for your plants to rest in the dark.
{also a majority of your plants root growth accours at night}

stick to just water untill you transplant . the roots soil is a great base for young plants .. that way you wont have to worry about burning or anything. when your plants are this young they need to focus on building a strong root mass foundation so when i comes time to bare fruit the plant can uptake the provided nutrients faster and better.Hey guys! Sorry I haven't updated in a bit. I ran into some trouble with a nitrogen deficiency recently and was kinda stressed haha.. Well there is a couple new things to mention. I was having a bit of a heat problem because since my last update I have them under the 600w lamp
About a week ago my girls started to show a nitrogen deficiency and started to go a bit yellow so I watered with RO water that had 2.75ml of CalMag plus and 3ml of Roots Organic Buddha grow. Here are some pictures of how they are doing, let me know what you guys think of them. I did pick off some of the yellow leaves so they don't look as bad. Thanks for keeping posted!!

I transplanted into 3gal smart pots two days ago and watered with straight RO water. From here on out should I water with RO that has CalMag? When do you think I should start nutes?

ok cool. 3 gal is a good size.
just RO and half strength cal/mag. for the next week. then start them off at half strength nutes. and just fallow the roots organics feeding sched. you should be good..... however if you start to run into roblems change out your feed sched. to water after every feeding.... ex" feed- next week water- feed-next week water"... make sense??

Where do you get yours? Who said you can NOT have lights ON 24/7? Plants will grow faster and there is NO differance in NO sleep in Veg and 4 hours of dark... Other than the plant growing a wee bt faster ON 24/7....
When it rains outdoors is that water filtered and rid of all minerals????
I have learned all my techniques through trail and error... Or advice from ol' time growers..
If opinion was in my grow room it would be changing everyday.... Stick to the basics and do what is best for you....
