Coffie Can Competition- Get in by the 1st!!

I have a confession, im not going to be using a coffe can, ill be using a 2 liter cut in half, its what i have to use its
about the same size as a coffe can if anything it will be less soil room so i should be good. right now i have one baby going thats about a week old just started,
im will be cracking more because im not working with feminized seeds

Alright, I gave it some thought and I definitely have room. I was trying to figure out the style I wanted to use, I thought of going organic with the coffee container modded for rootpruning... I also thought about dwc, but don't have enough sockets for another pump, lol... So I'll be going with a hempy bucket! I haven't done one of those in ages, so this is getting exciting...

Now I just gotta figure out the strain I want to use, and whether it'll be seed or clone :bigjoint:

I just wanted to update with a picture of my current folgers coffee can grow and give a little detail about the strain I am growing. Lucky for me, it was the only plant I have grown this way(coffee can) and I was rewarded with a beautiful female from regular seeds...to me thats a divine sign :) Strain : Chem D X SFV OG Kush BX2 From karma Genetics "aka D-kush" Just flipped her into flower yesterday. She vegged for 21 days, and has been a very healthy and vigorous plant. Likes her nutes like any other kush. I will be feeding Veg nut for about another 1-2 weeks. Medium is Pro-Mix w/ Myco. I have been playing with this fun idea of what can I grow in now....if you look at the pic closely you will notice a red cool-aid jug on a glass plate...:) Thats a TGA Querkle grown in a 2l 1970's cool-aid pitcher :) The possibilities have become endless for me. 3l bottles, shampoo bottles, peanut butter jars....Ya know anything I have already paid for and dont have to buy manufactured pots. Pot is a Red Folgers Coffee Can with a little tape on the sides to block light. I will be sure to get a side pic soon to prove its a coffee can :) Till Next time stay medicated ppl! My Yankee Hat goes off to you MMMB !! I think it is great that some people like yourself, are not bound to the "Normal" way of doing things. I know that I am new to all of this, but I am truly, truly amazed at all of the wonderful ways to got "Weed". We used to do the very same way, when I was growing up ... We did not have any Hydro Shoppes, or anything even remotely to them here in Maine (At least I did not know what to look for). When I read that you grew once in a shampoo bottle, I got up and looked at mine and said .... "YUPPPPP !" (Just like Dave Hester on StorageWars !)

Again, Best of luck in the grow(s) and looking forward to a great battle of the Coffee Cans !! :-) :-)

Here is my Coffe Can Grow entry....I am currently crossing all three of these plants for beans. I was pretty high 2 weeks ago and gave them Grow nutes instead of Bloom nutes, thats why they look heavy on the "N" side. They are recovering just fine. I am using X Nutrient Lineup with a Silica Shield and B-52. They are in my tent under a 1000 watt HPS. I use the reflective windshield mats that you put in your car to deflect the sun around the containers preventing light into there res.

These were all clones that went straight into 12/12.....Zero veg time.

I am very close to maine :) Northern vermont ...by way of Nor Cal :)

I live hours from the closest hydro shop, not that I have any interest in going to one. I personally feel that as long as the genetics are sound...they dont need a 10 dollar bucket or pot. Its just insanity to me. I try to grow as cheap as possible, knowing that my genetics will carry me the rest of the way. Thats why I pay money for them ( good breeders like tga gentics, and karma etc.) I dont need the zillion dollar advanced nutrients or even the 30$ a bag soil. Ill take the $5 pro-mix, throw some perlite in there and grow certified nuggtry every time. Three times now steeple hill has returned buds to me at over 25% THC....and thats out a cool-aid jug with %5 pro-mix and $15 fox farm nutrients....Thank Goodness for good genetics :)

In the end I figure what the genetics cant do, I will. Everything else is bling bling. I produce 25% thc nuggetry from CFL'S in some cheapo soil that is flushed greatly and taste amazing to me ( all dat matters baby lol) what more could I ask for. I also should add that this grow cost me literally $89.50 for 12 months last year for this grow op. I used to pay over $100 a month to run my 1000k HID....What a savings :)

I guess it all comes down to there is a billion ways to skin a cat...for me, Ill take the most effective for my money :)

Glad to see we have some new contestants. I agree Bill should still contribute, I'm down to pitch in on a mystery prize aswell if need be ;) Plus that setup is to nifty not to show off BC lol! I'll go back through and bump the list of people that have entered there submissions Sometime tonight, I'm going to try and keep the list organized and when you submit your entry I will add your name in the list :) I'm thinking a minimum of a weekly update? Glad to have ya brotha! A hempy bucket sounds awesome! I think your the first to go that route :) I was going to run 1 seed and 1 clone but I just have the clone for now, might add another "seed" here soon if I have room!

i want to play... ill have to dig out my coffee can but i know exactly where everything is. i think i can do both seed and clone, double dipp if you will lol.this is going to be fun, havent used the cofee can in a bit.

I choked and spewed out my coffee like a whale blowing her top when I read that you had to dig out your Coffee Can. I think I have them all, as I go through Coffee like I should have stock in Folgers or at least Brazil and Columbia :-)
If anyone needs a Folgers container, you can swing by and pick one up :-)

Sweet this party is taking right off! I am super stoked for everyone gettin down on da party :) I think a weekly update is more than fair and I do like the idea of two entires. 2 seed or 2 clones or 1 of each would give a good diversity to the competition. Im sure the fine folks running the fun will get it all nailed out and spread to us before to long.

Again, thanks for letting me in on the fun and welcome to all those just joining. Its gonna be a stinky and sticky party!

I know what you mean MMMB :-) I could not sleep a wink last night, thinking of different things that I can incorporate into my entry for this. I don't know how many times I have thrown out the little pieces of paper that I am writing down as soon as they pop into my head.

One thing for certain is I WAS going to enter one of my girls that I am doing now (One more week in Veg, than flipping them on Sunday the 18th). I have decided to use a Clone from Chaka Khan for (1) and then hope to hear back on a Clone from a friend (Red Cherry Berry). I want to start both of them in some new digs (Folgers Coffee Can) on Sunday, January 1st, 2012. From there ..... (Need to keep secret info from the Competition) :-)
It def has me stoked and excited (At my age it doesn't take much) :-)
