Not if the US government has anything to do with it...Just look at what those scientists are doing to preserve all of the seeds up in the Tundra. I wonder if they have any MJ seeds as well ????

I will have to look up Alien Tech! I'm actually excited to... seeing's you mentioned it's new and of fresh genetics, I'm hoping it's origins and breeding process have been well documented. ::Fingers crossed::Well, landraces are definitely a crapshoot. One of the hottest strains on the canna-scene is a landrace called Alien Technologies and allegedly came back to the State's via the military, similarly to Cerberus' story about the origins of MOB. I have descendent genetics of this in the form of something called CosmicDawg which was bred by my buddy GorrillaGrower. He gifted me a couple to run in my first medical grow and think it was the best strain i've run so far.
OTOH, GG also gifted me a plant from Pakistani landrace seeds that ended up with nice bud shape and some lavender hues but definitely lacked potency. It must have had a good amount of CBD as it provided surprising relief for my knee pain, but i wasn't impressed enough overall to run the seeds i made with pollen from a Deadhead OG F2 yet.
Yeah..unless you are a big pharmaceutical with extracts in the regulatory pipeline.I'm not disputing the usefulness of cannabis. It's just that the bureaucracy of the US government has measures in place to prevent participation in anything that acknowledges its' usefulness.
I still haven't had time to look at the Alien Tech info. It's on my list of canna-priorities though! Chemdawg, the only thing I remember reading is something about a Dead concert - a bag from a hippie (from the mid-west I think) and a few seed's that turned into some awesome plants. I'm not sure if that is correct, the right story for the right strain, etc. I also have no clue about the post breeding efforts and if Chemdawg is just a strain or if a strain and a person or what. I need to learn more about this. As you guys have learned, I read a lot of peer-reviewed stuff and not much common journalism like the high times and blogs and stuff.Buddy - the level of documentation with the Alien Tech gear is reminiscent to that with the Chem strains - lots of rumor - although the guy that brought it into the scene does have an online presence. He's very protective of the Alien strain and may have lost the original broodmother, meaning that the genetics only exist in descendants. I have to say that it looks pretty frickin impressive in all the descended crosses.
I would have liked to follow up on testing the cross but i've gotten involved in being a tester for breeders on Cannetics which has taken up all 12 slots for the last 2 runs. I'm debating about paying for a caregiver slot or two and upgrading my room, which would allow me to run strains repetitively for patient treatment while also continuing with the testing gig.
I just learned about Absoul33t, CaliConnection and the whole Alien Tech story/lineage! It sounds cool at the very least and a couple of pictures I saw of one of the crosses looked pretty radical. I didn't locate any real information though into it's development. Other than that it was brought home by a solider and now crossed with a bunch of different exsisting strains. I saw that CaliConnection has a website/forum... is there one big place that breeders hang out where I could do some good reading? (I know RIU has a breeding sub-forum. But we also have a sub for everything, which confuses the hell out of me. Hence me sticking to RI and ME. )Obsoul33t had the original Alien Tech plant and never let out any clones at least clones that made it out of the Swerve/Cali Connection circle. I dunno if you'd consider it a dick move but now that the plant has kicked all we have left is crosses.
No, call me the dumb one for not understanding you on that one!As far as paying for slots... i meant i'd be paying the State for my caregiver permit then finding patients to fill the slots so i can start the plants. Sorry for any confusion, that'll teach me to post after beers & dinner with my daughter and her boyfriend.
Back in the day whenever I established a new species... the first thing a small group of us would do is exchange. No telling when an asteroid is going to hit your house! You will never get far in life by yourself, find yourself some real winners and you will all succeed.well that is one thing i always hate to see. Its just a shame to see a great bread be lost because someone is greedy or wants the braging right, for being only one with the strain. I think any one that hogs a bread is a total tool. I know of a few people with blueberry bud here in maine that think they have to hog their tasty breed for blackmarket. It realy steams me to think about people doing this!!!!!!
Unfortunately I haven't cured any cancer patients; However my mother has Hep C and for awhile has been using the hemp oil I was creating (Another reason why I'm in Maine is because you can grow for family members).how many cancer patients have you cured with your hemp oil? What other diseases have you treated with it? what industrial chemical do you use to create it? how long you been in the game?
