The twinkie idea I stole from a restaurant in Philadelphia famous for cheese steak sandwiches. But for deep fry, nothing beats fresh shrimp:Yeah, someone already mentioned twinkies. I think I'd actually die on the spot from the unhealthiness. But so nomful...
Om nom nom. Maybe getting some fancy low fat hotdogs and making your own batter would make it a bit more healthy ^^; *is hungry now*
SHRIMP'N BEER BATTER
SHRIMP MARINADE:
1/3 c. Worcestershire sauce
1 c. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
Place 20 to 36 medium or jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined in above marinade for 30 minutes. Dust lightly with plain flour. Then dip in beer batter and deep fry at 365 degrees about 7 minutes or until golden brown.
BEER BATTER:
2 bottles beer
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. paprika
