Its a known fact these days that the author of these newsletters was in fact James B. Powell who to this day publishes a newsletter with racist things about Hispanics coming across the border. If anything he failed as an editor of a newsletter while practicing medicine. Don't believe me? Look it up.

Proof that Uncle buck is a racist:

The Dallas Morning News

May 22, 1996 Candidate's comments on blacks questioned
Author: Catalina Camia; Washington Bureau of The Dallas Morning News Edition: HOME FINAL
Section: NEWS
Page: 8A
Dateline: WASHINGTON Index Terms:
ELECTIONS '96 Estimated printed pages: 3 Article Text:WASHINGTON - Uncle. Uncle Buck, a Republican congressional candidate from Texas, wrote in his political newsletter in 1992 that 95 percent of the black men in Washington, D.C., are "semi-criminal or entirely criminal."

He also wrote that black teenagers can be "unbelievably fleet of foot."An official with the NAACP in Texas said the comments were racist and offensive. Uncle. Buck, who is running in Texas' 14th Congressional District, defended his writings in an interview Tuesday. He said they were being taken out of context.

"It's typical political demagoguery," he said. "If people are interested in my character . . . come and talk to my neighbors." Uncle. Buck, an ex-congressman and former Libertarian Party presidential candidate, defeated Rep. Greg Laughlin, R-West Columbia, in April for the Republican nomination for the U.S. House.

An obstetrician from Surfside, he faces Democratic lawyer Charles "Lefty" ! Morris of Bee Cave in the November general election. Mr. Morris, who said he was familiar with the writings in question, declined to comment about the specifics. "Many of his views are out on the fringe," Mr. Morris said. "But voters in the 14th District have to characterize these the way they see it. His statements speak for themselves."

According to a Dallas Morning News review of documents circulating among Texas Democrats, Uncle. Buck wrote in a 1992 issue of the Uncle Buck Political Report: "If you have ever been robbed by a black teenaged male, you know how unbelievably fleet of foot they can be."

Uncle. Buck, who served in Congress in the late 1970s and early 1980s, said Tuesday that he has produced the newsletter since 1985 and distributes it to an estimated 7,000 to 8,000 subscribers. A phone call to the newsletter's toll-free number was answered by his campaign staff.

Uncle. Buck also said he did not know how his newsletter came to be ! included in a directory by the Heritage FUnclet, a neo-Nazi group based in Canada. The newsletter was listed on the Internet under the directory's heading "Racialists and Freedom Fighters." No one answered calls to the Heritage FUnclet, which lists only a hotline connected to a tape-recorded message in the ToUncleto telephone directory.

Gary Bledsoe, president of the Texas NAACP, urged Uncle. Buck to apologize for his comments about blacks and asked Republicans to denounce their nominee. "We need someone who can represent all the constituents of Texas, not someone who is negative or engages in stereotypes," Mr. Bledsoe said. "Someone who holds those views signals or indicates an inability to represent all constituents without regard to race, creed or color."

About 11 percent of the population in the 14th District, stretching from near Austin to the Gulf Coast, is black. Uncle. Buck denied suggestions that he was a racist and said he was not evoking stereotypes when he wrote the columns. He said they should be r! ead and quoted in their entirety to avoidmisrepresentation. Uncle. Buck also took exception to the comments of Mr. Bledsoe, saying that the voters in the 14th District and the people who know him best would be the final judges of his character.

"If someone challenges your character and takes theinterpretation of the NAACP as proof of a man's character, what kind of a world do you live in?" Uncle. Buck asked. In the interview, he did not deny he made the statement about the swiftness of black men.

"If you try to catch someone that has stolen a purse from you, there is no chance to catch them," Uncle. Buck said. He also said the comment about black men in the nation's capital was made while writing about a 1992 study produced by the National Center on Incarceration and Alternatives, a criminal justice think tank based in Virginia.

Citing statistics from the study, Uncle. Buck then concluded in his column: `Given the inef! ficiencies of what DC laughingly calls the criminal justice system, I think we can safely assume that 95 percent of the black males in that city are semi-criminal or entirely criminal." "These aren't my figures," Uncle. Buck said Tuesday. "That is the assumption you can gather from" the report

This thread was so full of fail I had to make an account after 4 years of not posting here. Ron can't control who supports him or why. Ron is in no way a racist and any claims about him being one have vague evidence at best. This was all the rage on the internet in 2008 when Don Black of Stormfront donated a whopping 200 dollars to his campaign and had his picture taken with him at a public event that anyone could attend. After reading through all of these emails I conclude that this Kelso guy and his followers had a plan to "infiltrate" Ron Paul's movement and hopefully win over some white people to their cause. According to people active in Southern California and Chicago politics these guys mentioned by him as being #2 men of Paul in these states have never been heard of by people actually involved with his organization and the best evidence they provide is that Kelso is photographed standing 10ft away from Ron at an event while Ron speaks to a supporter with his back turned. Worst conspiracy theory ever and if anyone believes this shit I've got some beach front property for sale in Arizona you might be interested in. Reading their own "evidence" I come to the conclusion these guys have a very vague connection to Ron and on their own site this douche and his wife (Sigrid) state that they never got to speak directly with Paul or had a conference call with him or his campaign. You fail hard and do so at the expense of your own movement you idiot. Enjoy voting for Obama again and having your liberties taken away.

Your own signature is proof that nobody should listen to you. Obama hasn't done shit for cannabis in this country like he promised and he continues Bush's policies in the Middle East when he said he wouldn't. You are dick riding hard.

Nice post Saywut, You'll have to ignore Uncle Buck as he doesnt have an unbiased bone in his body.

Welcome back to RIU.

On another note what many people dont realize is that Ron Paul is the only candidate who wont turn his back on The American citizens no matter what thier personal beliefs may be he wants the same rights and priviledges afforded by the Constitution to every american not just those who are politically correct.
This is why he is attractive to unpopular groups because he isnt a hypocrite like the other "Leaders" who only choose to support some Americans and not the rest.

Thanks for the support guys. I can't believe that he seriously won't look at the evidence and is bringing up newsletters from years ago when he clearly started this thread to talk about current events which I am trying to discuss.

Further evidence of Uncle bucks blatant racism

FACT CHECK: Uncle Buck Personally Defended Racist Newsletters

Recently, Uncle Buck has been subject to intense criticism over controversial newsletters written under his name in the 80s and 90s that frequently included racism, bigotry, and conspiracy theories. Over the last few days, Buck has responded that he did not write the newsletters and disavowed their contents, claiming this has been his consistent position for 20 years. Here’s what Buck told CNN onDecember 21:
Buck: I never read that stuff. I never — I would never — I came — I was probably aware of it 10 years after it was written… Well, you know, we talked about [the newsletters] twice yesterday at CNN. Why don’t you go back and look at what I said yesterday on CNN, and what I’ve said for 20-some years. It was 22 years ago. I didn’t write them. I disavow them and that’s it.
Buck’s denials, however, are not supported by the public record. When the newsletters first arose as an issue in 1996, Buck didn’t deny authorship. Instead, Buck personally repeated and defended some of the most incendiary racial claims in the newsletters.
In May 1996, Buck was confUncleted in an interview by the Dallas Morning News about a line that appeared in a 1992 newsletter, under the headline “Terrorist Update”: “If you have ever been robbed by a black teenaged male, you know how unbelievably fleet of foot they can be.” His

You know I'd really like for Uncle Buck to explain why he supports Obama instead of asking us to defend our candidate against false accusations.

and for your edification, if paul had his way states would get to decide on my wife's personal liberty with respect to her personal health care decisions. that just OOZES freedom and personal liberty :dunce:
And if big government has it's way, government would get to decide on your wife's personal liberty with respect to her personal health care decisions. That just oozes freedom and personal liberty. What's you're point, because you don't make a valid one?

You could always move to another state that runs in a fashion that you agree with... and that does ooze freedom personal liberty.

then start a thread about it and quit trying to deflect away from ron paul the racist in a ron paul thread, smarty.

so funny that every thread gets paul-spammed, and then paul is the last thing you want to talk about in a thread about paul.

Yeah, because an entire state would vote to ban abortions on an issue that splits America into two groups of people. Why doesn't your wife take the pill and you put on a condom so that you both won't ever have to get an abortion unless she is by some chance raped or the child she has is causing physical issues for her (still born for example).

It's 19 pages of you trashing him so I want you to defend your terrible candidate in this thread. I gave you proof positive that Paul isn't involved in this nonsense and you try to slander me instead and insult my intelligence.

yes, uproot my entire existence because a bunch of people like you want the state to have more control of my wife's body than she does.

yay for ron paul! personal liberty (except for women)! yay!

he's trying to have his cake and eat it too.

he's clearly catering to the bigoted vote, then trying to turn around and deny that he is doing so.

it is well recorded that in 1996 he defended the newsletters as his own, so did his campaign people. this is HISTORICAL FACT.

you refuse to believe it due to the cognitive dissonance it would cause.
It's a historic fact because you claim that letter head is evidence? Nice try with that one, but your word is not stand-all, be-all.

So where are all the recorded voice and video replays of his 1996 defense regarding these "letters"? Oh, it's more randomly selected websites with text as proof? If it looks like it was written in Microsoft Word and posted to a website, it's got to be viable evidence right?

does your wife have a problem of getting knocked up regularly and a need to get rid of them?

i know ppl i wish were not here also but the government wont let me kill them......

what happened to the ideas of answering for your choices and accepting the consequences of your actions..... i guess that got thrown out with honor and respect from this country.

lol I'm supposed to think someone with the name Uncle Buck is a man? It's a movie you idiot. I don't feel stupid but I do feel smarter now that I know Obama's supporters can offer no credible evidence against my candidate and I can bash theirs for days on end. My vagina? See you quoted a cartoon and I didn't call you sexist, homophobic, or racist for it but I quote one and I'm bashing gay people. Hypocrite

this is a ron paul thread.

let's keep the focus on ron paul and his coordination with white supremacists or his profiting from racist newsletters here.

or how he wants states to limit the personal liberties and freedoms that women currently enjoy.

no birth control is 100%, genius.

and she is on the pill for your edification.

why don't you stop supporting a candidate who would hand the state decisions over my wife's health, rather than letting her have her personal liberties and freedoms? that would be much easier.
