i just go for stuff that promotes healthy roots etc mainly. florablend is a vegan tea, and floralicious is like seaweed and stuff. the h202 helps keep everything clean and adds extra oxygen. i thinks the h202 is particularly helpfull] with the ones i have in rockwool cubes because it slowly releases oxygen as it breaks down over 2-3 days so the water held in the cubes is always oxygenated, just a theory im working on lol

i put it in every res change too. i noticed an instant change in the plants when i started adding it, just all round better looking. plus it keeps bad shit out of my res. dont know how it would go in soil or anything. i think it kills beneficial bacteria in soil not sure though

it killed mine off pretty quick. thats actually the reason i started using it in the first place. used in conjunction with covering up the top like u have it should clear it up no probs

i'm just scared to use it, sounds chemical like, bleaches hair n all, u say you use 50% peroxide at 2ml per 10 litres, can you give it too much easily?

i mean u probably can't get more oxygen than in perlite, but i would like to prevent algae on the surface in the beginning, it does seem to dissapear as the plant gets bigger, but for next time, i may give her a go, and note difference

just covering it up will get rid of it. it needs light to grow. thats why it goes away when the plant gets bigger. the plant shades it and it dies.

i guess you could easily give it too much but if u just use accurate measuring devices u wont have any problems. and yeah it will bleach anything. it burns a bit if you get it on your skin. but its just h2o2 so 2 hydrogen atoms connected to 2 oxygen atoms. i think the idea is as the hydrogen atoms break down they release the oxygen atoms into the water. and the idea of using it to clean your res or whatever is that because its a bleach it will kill the algae and any bad bacteria, good ones too though but if your not using organic ferts then it doesnt matter.

Thanx again, never had a real problem anyway, just a soon as i see green perlite, i cover it up, i would rather not though, as it hinders evaporation
