What is my point? Your comparing a supposed KKK affiliation with Ron Paul and demonizing it, inferring that there is a degree of racism associated with Ron Paul for any form of affiliation with such a group. Because you're inferring some level of racism, I told you that Martin Luther King Jr, was not a racist in any form but may of had equivalent racist affiliations. Should Martin Luther King Jr have been demonized for such affiliations? No. He should have been praised for his good intention and character. You never once took on my claim, that HE WILLINGLY ACCEPTED CAMPAIGN ASSISTANCE FROM THE KLAN. I'm sure Martin Luther King Jr, got help from racist black people...what the fuck is your point? Nonetheless I will explicate your (can't really call it an argument because it lacks a conclusion, but I will charitably assume that your conclusion is simply that I am wrong).
What I stated was very clear, I stated that Ron Paul is affiliated with white supremacist bigots, I didn't state this crap
I actually don't have a problem with the Klan voting how ever they please, I have a problem with a candidate who is appeasing the Klan. In fact in an earlier post in this thread I also stated I did not think he was racist (at least to the extent some people want to accuse him of), so learn to fucking read before you tell me what I am saying.
That the letters were vague doesn't change that they were racist and that he either wrote them or allowed them to be written in his periodical. So as long as I am vague, I can go around being a bigot and nobody will know, but I'm still a fucking bigot, right?
So you admit he WAS racist and that now that his demeanor is so couth, he must obviously be cured of it. In fact it is clearly evident, so clearly evident, that I should STFU and just have faith in the free market to fix everything.
The fact is, it is not illegal to be affiliated with the klan, why is he trying to hide it? It might even help him at this point, a lot of people are racist and it might get him a lot of votes. Why be a fucking chicken? If he represents the Klan, out with it...
Point in case, you're very short sighted. You're carrying a personal distaste against another human being for having an affiliation with another group of human beings, of which their mentalities you don't agree with. He's not appeasing anyone, he's accepting support from fellow human beings for HIS cause, not theirs.
You have it confused. The letters are vague in the sense that it's very unclear as to who wrote them and or as to who actually gave permission for it to be written. They are perfectly clear in what they say, that's not the argument. If you want to believe the skewed media especially that of the internet, that is your right, it doesn't mean it's truth.
So when I say "a person's past doesn't dictate their future" that is an admittance of a racist? You told me to "read before you tell me what I'm saying". Now how come you're telling me what I'm saying? How about you practice what you preach?
Now, that's a hypocrite if I've ever seen one. You tried at a failed attempt to make me look hypocritical, but instead it just backfired on you. Too funny.
And lastly, Ron Paul does not represent the Klan. If you truly believe he represents them, you got those looney tunes playing. An affiliation is not representation, unless one is ignorant enough to believe they are one in the same.
