like i said, you are more than welcome to start a thread about the individual mandate, especially after all your talk about personal responsibility a few pages back.

i happen to agree that an individual mandate is a great way of assuring personal responsibility, rather than letting those who can afford to insure themselves go to the ER and leave us footing the bill after they declare bankruptcy in the face of overwhelming medical debt.

but like i said, that is best reserved for another thread.

and for your edification, even the ron paul supporters agree that there is a special category for worshippers. it's not innuendo, it's a distinction. we make those a lot around here. welcome, by the way.

Apparently you didn't want to keep it on topic until I smashed your opinion on the subject matter, of which you followed by failing to logically respond. You went on post after post about the same subject, not regarding Ron Paul.

Calling a supporter a worshipper is innuendo, period. You'll fail to acknowledge this of course, because you stand by the point that the Paul supporters are doing most of the insulting. Didn't I say earlier hypocrisy is relevant with Paul-bashers?


I won't say anything about an individual mandate being entirely unconstitutional, because that would give you further excuses to derail any logical criticism against your illogical thought process. You have no apparent knowledge of the constitution further displaying your high degree of ignorance.

Don't worry too much about keeping this on topic as Buck doesn't worry about it in most other threads. This thread was a troll thread from the first post anyway. He loves too put down everyone except his beloved Obama.

the funny thing is that the ron paul worshippers love to post youtube vids of obama worshippers, seemingly unaware that they are as worship-y as the people they are belittling, just for a different candidate.

You did not have to change your stance on my account as I dislike all politicians.

Since you asked I will tell you that since he unleashed the justice dept. on medical MJ I am surprised he would get any backing from anyone on a MJ site.

That and I read somewhere on the internet that he is a racist. Just like you I can't prove it though.

All joking aside, I am worried that once he is elected again he will pass some serious anti-gun legislation. We will see what unfolds.

The first is true. The second is as much of a joke as this thread. And lastly when he is elected again, he will have nothing to lose. The word YET is the key. :peace:

I'm afraid Obama might follow through with his 2008 campaign promise and make me share my peanut butter and jelly sandwich. We all know how long it takes him to follow through with things.

issuing the holder memo is a step in the OPPOSITE direction that you imply.

thus, your statement is false.

any desire for gun control would have occurred right after the gabby giffords incident. i don't recall ANYTHING being done. so again, your paranoid fears of the second amendment going away are unfounded (and for me, laughable).

Gun control? No way will that happen in the USA. It is so friggin easy to get firearms in this country its easier than buying a pack of cigarettes. Death by violent crime perpetrated by someone other than a police officer has been trending down for some time now. Due to more people having more guns. When everyone is armed the world becomes a much nicer place.

I agree. The gun snatchers have lost. The issue might rise again, but not anytime soon.

Violent crime in the US is at its lowest level since about 1960. You're safe. Come on over and visit. Most of us are pretty friendly. Your opinion is influenced by the nanny-state that exists in the UK.

The US has a tradition of gun ownership that is codified in the highest law of the land. Virtually all gun owners in the US are honest, law abiding citizens. Those intent to do crime or evil are not deterred by gun laws.

I live in AZ... It is an open carry state. Every once in a while I will see a guy with a firearm on his hip in the Walmart or at the Home Depot.

Legal citizens do not suddenly become bank robbers when they have access to guns.

I always have a gun on me, even in the shower. Not having a gun is the leading cause of homicide, because only people with out guns ever get 187d. When all these openly gay soldiers are posted on our streets for the prison-planet scenario, the only thing that will save us is a gun toting population. In fact we should replace all coin money with ammo and use that as currency.

I have been thinking about this.

Let me put it to you this way. Suppose you were in a room with 100 people, one of whom is a violent criminal. Would you be safer if only the violent criminal was armed with a (gun, knife, club, whatever), or would you be safer if say ten people (the criminal and nine honest citizens) were armed?

Alternate scenario: What if you were in a room with 1000 honest citizens all them armed with handguns. Would you be safe?
