ok well I am using MG soil and for foods check my grow journal and I'll have the type of plant foods I use for diffrent stages of growing and it all depends if its hot or cool in there but you can smell pot after it starts to mature in veg if you don't kick it yet

ok I bought some plant food from my local grow store and it says to use Epson salt when in flowering and late flowering to produce more resin, my girls have nodes that are covered in THC Crystals

It just seem like a risk you don't need to take, not to mention the one your dad is unknowingly taking. I hate to sound all "old" but an outdoor grow just seems alot safer in your situation. Not to mention alot better as far as yields would be concerned...a few cfls isn't going to get you much. If the 'UVB is the catalyst for THC' theory is correct than you'd also be far better off putting them under the sun's UVB to increase THC production. Regular CFLs do not emit UVB, or at least not enough to do anything significant.

Epsom salt is a good source of Magnesium (MG) it also can help fight off certain bacterias. It is by no means essential to THC production in my experience...but that's why there are more people helping here

Sounds like they are doing quite well  What do you mean by 'leafed'?
I took off all the old leafs that were still healthy where new growth was and they ended up looking like sticks and very little leafs then 3 days after transplanting and put them into my flower room but had the lights on 24/0 and they grew fast again

Generally you should avoid cutting off leaves, they store nutrients. The only time I ever do it personally is if the leaf is already dead, or very close to it. A good option for getting fan leaves out of the way is just tucking them behind other growth.
