are we allowed to try this technique to a topped plant? or is it just the lead growth?
Strange FIM technique.... anyone heard about this??

I know... Sometimes I just read the posts and dont pay much attention to the names... Yep, I hate computers and all, but I love talkin about this though, and learning form posts, and trying to help out the newbz... And, as we all hopefully are, I'm also a huge pothead, so I forget alotta shit sometimes, and miss alotta shit, too...lol... Everytime I move my couch, I find a "new" glass piece from God knows when...lol...

I can ask him more details tomorrow.... I got the impression that he meant just the lead growth.... please dont do anything to your plant though unless somebody on here validates it... I just wanted to see if anyone has heard of it... I dont want anyone doing anything that might hurt their plant....I will absolutely find out more details~

where does he make the bend and where am i to place the tooth pick?
close to the lead growth, and then into that stem? how far down,and what type of bend?

ther is another technique similar to this or super cropping rather i should say it relevant but some one mention to cut the stem of the new growths with a razor blade. just slit the stem in half, still attached by other half of stem, and leave it to heal.
i dont like fim. fucks with the hormones and leaf count. lst is a much more reliable way to get multiple colas, without loss of leaf or weird leaf formations as a result of stress and unbalanced hormones. although i do use stress at KEY points in growth during veg to increase stem thickness i try to avoid cutting up leaves and topping as much as possible

420forme.... honestly.... I dont know... but I swear he said it grew out new tops.... maybe he's not familliar with FIM and meant that the lower growth perked up... I dont know... but AS I UNDERSTOOD him...he made it sound like new growth emerged... I will definitely find out more.... not trying to steer anybody wrong here

Regardless of how effective it is or isn't, the strain you are doing it to will have a much bigger impact on the result than the damage.

I completely agree Captain.... I have had mixed results, depending on strain with topping and supercropping.... this caught my interest because it seemed like an easy way to FIM... which I have never had much success with... I have tried many times and it only worked once....
