i was wondering if i can grow one plant in my room because i was wondering if this can work and how to do it. i have one of those spiral light things it says to me it has 150 watts.
yes u can. i sugest getting a hps grow light at like fred myers or some place like that target even sells them
or just put it on your window sill for the first 2 weeks or so and then put it under that light
dont plan on gettin to far w/ 1 "spiral thing" for a new born, Im sure that will be fine but as it gets larger, you will lose light, Id say get like four.
Don't listen to the guy using halogen bulbs or low wattage HPS lights. You will be fine with CFLs but once the plant sprouts and has more than a couple nodes you need to go out and get a bunch more CFLs so you can light the plant entirely. If you want this to be worth it, aka more than an 1/8th of that plant, then you need to have PLENTLY of light.
I'm growing three under a 400W HPS and 10 CFLs (28W and 43W).
