The roots are coming out the bottom of my cups. I just noticed it while duct taping. What should I do? Would it hurt the plants if I left them like that for a while

they'll be fine for a while, but not too long. 3-7 days and they should be rooted enough for a transplant.

Check it out bro! Get some lights! Daylight CFLs I know they sell em at HD if they don't have "daylight" ask for the white / blue spectrum 5200 area and keep one of your 2700 lights in there with it. a full spectrum with it heavy on the blue/white range during veg is all win! Then when you go to flower switch to heavy 2700 "warm" and one cool white 5200 area.... Also as you see in the picture I got a Turkey pan from a grocery store. poke holes in the side and then ran my light sockets down to it. If you put the lights on their side a considerably larger amount of light goes to the plant and the turkey pan serves as the cheapest reflector ever! You can buy the light sockets by buying the shop clip lights for like 8 bucks each unless your good with wiring then just bust up your lamp and run the raw wire or get some electrical wire and run it w/e you wanna do. just stick the lights in the side and hang it up somehow. You have to be kinda smart about it.. think about balance... That light setup will be baller for you and then as far as distance keep them about 2 inches away and take a little fan and run it accross the top of the plants and the bottom of the lights that way you don't have burn issues. to keep the humidity up get a spray bottle and and spray the walls of the box every time you can with some water and it will keep your humidity up.

Smart move starting a journal though. When your are a little over half way done and all these people you see on here making the OMG HELP threads and you look @ their stuff and your like "Why does it look like that?" you will be glad that you have an awesome support group that RIU provides. This is the most "flameless" forum I've ever run into also! Super cool guys!

Awesome set up man. Idk if mine is gonna be looking like that when I'm done. If my mom lets me keep mine inside I'm gonna try to get a set up like yours goin. Nice job

Walmart sells that reflective material too
Check out the camping section
Theyre called space blankets

They're cheap less than 3 bucks
Since you say you're on a Budget

I personally wouldn't use that. Besides your going to need more soil anyways. I can get a bag of OF for $10 around here and that's plenty of soil for about 6 plants for me.

Word man I'm ready for you to get started! It's gonna be fun man!
Yes! Exactly. I'm just so excited about this whole grow! I'm gonna post new pics on here later on tonight so I can keep everyone updated. I stay on this site like 22/7 just looking up and double checking everything. Great hobby.

I had to preform an emergency transplant because the roots were reaching all out the bottom of the cups.

Here's a better photo. There are six of them. Are they big enough to go to my grow site?
