Topped my bubba 76 at the 4th node, then again at the 6th... I think. She has about 8 heads and is a 14" bush you cant even see into, Didnt stretch so much since i flipped but like i said, she is a freaking bush!!! Im about 16 days into flower and was wondering if you think i should prune it? I know its a pretty low yeilder and i'd like to make the best out of what i have. Any help would be nice. THANKS!

BTW, this picture is about a week old, Shes alot more semetrical. But you can see the tops =]

how much should I let the 4 leads develop before I prune for 8? leaves coming off the 4 branches that will form the 8 branches are about 1.5 cm long right now, with 2 nodes total past the cut point.

looks great, i would give her three weeks into flower, then just thin the under-story out a bit so she can breathe.....

you don't have to wait very long.......looks like mine were about 2.5 cm or so when i snipped them out.......

i will photo update soon, but it is a bit slow going at this point.....it just takes a week or so for her to start chugging along with her eight leads.

here is what she looks like this morn.....steady as she goes......notice how flat the young canopy is already....now, we just make sure she stays that way as she stretches...

Alright, you guys ready to get freaky on this bitch? as i was doing this, i was thinking, "this sure is not for everybody......it is for folks who love watching their plants grow, like to tweak, and re-tweak"......then it hit me, this is really fucking nerdy.......you know you are a weed nerd if you you this to your plants! Here is a tip.....anytime you bend for bondage, make sure you water the plant first, and let her sit for 15 minutes.....you want her really "wet"! Things are starting to get kinky!004.jpg005.jpg006.jpg007.jpg

Very nice thread nugbuckets! I have also seen the problems with the 4 main cola theory but I have seen very consistent tops using 2 nodes. Your reasoning is very sound and so are your results but I kinda wonder how it effects the overall yeild. It seems like it would be much less because it's taking twice as long to get the same amount of tops as having 4 main colas. Plus it kinda takes the symetrical shape away from it for indoor environments. I would like to see a side by side with 2 main colas and 4 main colas if anybody wants to do one. :)

" no more yanky my wanky....the donger need food!"

fucking classic.

....you may be wondering, why so much bondage.....why not just prune her, and let her go........? ....structure is the key element in this style.....as you are guiding the plant, and setting up the leaders......you are also nudging the plant to strengthen its base.....core strength, if you will........we don't want to have to use any bracing, or netting, or bamboo, or cages etc. at all......so we want to focus on the stem structure right off the bat.....this is also about creating a plant without an understory to speak of, so no larfy bud..........as we move forward throughout the grow, up through harvest.....we will begin reaping all of our work from the beginning......we just paid it forward................much better yield, less trimming, easier trimming, better finished appeal, less time wasted bracing and supporting, less chance for mold/mildew because of better air ciculation......the list goes on....dig?

i hear ya......but like i said, we are just paying it forward....we will run this girl to the very end on this thread, and obtain accurate measurables to analyze......it is hard to shake a stick at 4-5 zips of pure rock hard nug, coming off a 25 inch plant, and that is what i just yielded with 600's and supersoil........just hang in there bro!
