i woke up this morning getting reddy to go to the docter and my dog payday wouldnt get up he is 20 years old and like a family member to me i think he had a stroke so he cant walk im going to pet him and say good by then it off to the vet idk what to do anymore

My heart goes out to you. 20 years you must have taken very, very good care of Payday. The hardest thing we can do is be the good owner that knows when enough is enough. I hope that Payday will be in the arms of his loving master when he passes knowing that he has been and will continued to be truly treasured.

Always had boxers-rots and was never this close to them.. she is my shadow!

So sry my friend,i also lost my dog i backed up and ran over her.Just as bad as a family member i droped to my knees,legs just fell cried ,cussed blamed myself it was horrible.Advice get another pet helps alot,dogs can be a mans best friend.Damn still bothers me tdy.She was 14yrs and Boston terrier.I still have alot of good memorys we spent alone together and was my best friend,waiting everyday for me to come home, god i miss her...

My childhood dog Kaylee (golden retriever) was around 18 years old when we had to put her down. She also had a stroke and was unable to walk so my father and I carried her out to the car. I held her while she died. I was very sad. Every time I think of her, I laugh because she was such a goofball. Man I miss that dog.

All dogs go to heaven imo why woundnt they This a tough thread for me to even read i still get all choked up.Just always remeber the good times and goodball stuff dogs do, dog gonna dog.im siting here and your thread has me thinking about all the stuff she did like playing possum and killing a mockingbird that kept plucker her in the head,lol was some funny stuff.I could go on and on,when you get past the grieving you will be able to look back and laugh at all the stuff.Payday is in a better place just a waitin on you,IMO.

R.I.P. Payday, hardest thing I ever did in life was put our family dog down. 15 year old Am Staff that I had from when I was 5 till I was 20. That was 15 years ago, I still love to brag about that dog.

Sorry to hear it icky... You'll get through... in the last 2 years I've lost 2 dogs and a cat...
I'm about to lose another dog... I have an appointment to put him down tomorrow. He's been declining really fast the last 2 weeks and has the crazy bed soars on both sides of his body that are getting huge and becoming infected. the vets said that there wasn't much we could do and instead of prolonging his pain we should put him down... I feel your pain more than you know. I don't want him to go but I know it's what's best. Take solice in knowing that you gave him the best life he could've ever had... noone would of loved him like you did!!!! It's time to start a new family... I say it's time for you to get a new pup and give him all the love that you have cause you obviously have a lot to give... chin up... stay high

hard as it is the vet is right
let your dog go out with dignity
u really need to take a day and lay there with him and love him give him treats then take him to the vet
i would do this now
