We have not had "the right not to pay for someone elses health care", even if that were a right. We have always paid for each others health care.

EMTALA is pretty cool law. It says that health care professionals are either too stupid to recognize emergencies or too evil to treat somebody without awesome insurance. The gov in their infinite wisdom were duped into giving hospitals a drastically increased fee schedule to cover costs of frequent fliers they can't turn away and real indigent care. A hospital can charge in some cases double what a doctor's office can charge for the same procedures.
Here's where the genius of hospital lobbies and the idiocy of policy makers played such a huge role in the dramatic increases in costs since this law passed. Because of the increased pay to hospitals, caid and care have cut their reimbursements to clinics and doctor's offices. So, hospitals are taking over their offices, supplying the doctors with guaranteed salaries, decreased hours (hospitalist programs) and the peace of mind that their staff gets paid. This means the cost of your doctor visit is as much as doubled or more depending on if the hospital is doing their billing or not.
Obamacare piles on this stupidity. People cheered.
A lot of things are legal or illegal. Laws aren't arguing points to why something is or should be. Laws are just enforced opinions. My sister was raped, and my nephew is alive and enjoying life. She didn't take the piece of shit route and shove a coat hanger up her snatch to solve her own little worries. She stepped back and realized that in the middle of the most fucked up situation she had ever been in in her life, there was this innocent life growing inside of her.
Being weak in your own situation isn't an excuse to go ending lives. If you can't handle life with your rape baby, then either put it up for adoption or go kill youself after its born.

See that's where this whole thing goes- I don't know what is right for anyone with the abortion but why does someone else get to make decisions on how and what others do with their own bodies and then force it on them if they feel differently. We don't even own ourselves in many situations- the government does. I can't even drive to the supermarket without the government being involved and then inviting their corrupt buddie - the insurance company along to stick their hand in my pocket. If I refuse to cooperate they will just throw me in jail. Ownership of anything is dictated to us by them, from our bodies to cars or houses/properties. They own us all and we just get to rent ourselves if we do what were told - if not then they will throw us to the sodomites.

No, they don't have a say so in the matter. You didn't have a say so in your gender, or your very birth. People don't have "say so", very often and to believe they do is to live in a fairy tale. In nature, the vast majority of all "potential organisms" fail. 99 percent of birthed fish get eaten. Seeds fall upon unfertile soil, bear cubs die of starvation, Lion cubs are killed by sucessor lion males.
Nature is tough and them that is have an advantage over them that wants to be.

How about we "abort" the mother and raise the child in an incubator until it is "born"? Where is the choice and the "it's my body" when it comes to the unborn? I wouldn;t have wanted my mother to kill me before I was born.

Thats why those of us who are here and see how fucked up killing innocent lives is have to stand up and say something because there are people that think that just because they are already born, they get to decide who else gets to be born and who gets to die.
So since you are here, its your choice if the child lives or dies. what if i was to say that since I'm bigger than you I can kill you without regard to your own desires, since nature is so tough? Since the child can't stop you from killing it, thats your justification? what if you couldn;t stop me from killing you, does that some how make it okay too?

My issue with making it illegal is what the unintended consequences of prohibition brings. We ALL agree black market abortions are an awful, harmful, dangerous thing and this procedure should be as safe as possible. I'd like to see the 5 year birth control implant being mandatory after an abortion. I also realize this is my emotional reasoning because I hate the thought of abortion so much.
My issue with making it illegal is what the unintended consequences of prohibition brings. What is unnatural about the death of offspring by what ever means? The point here is "You couldn't care less about the woman", when in fact you do as you state yet again in your post.
Now the crux of my argument is this. Our freedoms exist in the realm of death. That is the way it is, people and creatures have to die in order for you to have your freedom. Your freedom to have a pool endangers the lives of non-swimmers. Your freedom to keep and bear costs the lives of children in the cross fire and in accidental shootings, your freedom in this country costs the lives of countless millions of children in other countries and the Freedom of women to deal with their own bodies in a way that suits them costs lives as well. On the balance, we value our freedoms more than we value the lives of children.
there is much more to this story than that, but it is a start. DO you value your freedom? are you willing to take some freedoms away from women to asuage your concience? How about calling for the end to all posession of weapons? or is that too much to ask? How about ending all conflict unless it can be assured that no babies or children will be harmed in collateral damage?
