reductio ad retardum.

my unwillingness to weep tears of blood for the jackasses who build their houses in a flood plain and get washed away EVERY OTHER YEAR does not mean i believe we should devolve into some bizzare savage law of the jungle society based on the ruminations of some Anarcho-_______ist beard stroker from the 1880's. likewise i do not desire a nanny state with it's swollen teats shoved forcefully into the mouths of all, willing or not.

our government has, by dint of it's distance from the people it is presumed to serve, become unresponsive, self-perpetuating and uncontrollable. its a tree thats grow too big and too wild for it's location. now it's knocking tiles off the roof, dropping leaves down the neighbor's chimney and it hasnt had a good fruit crop in decades. i propose we prune it, carefully and with measured caution, not that we hack it down and burn the branches and salt the earth so that nothing else may ever grow there.
You just wasted a lot of pixels jabbering about nothing and saying even less. Keep your job at the car wash. Your philosophy job won't be happening.

OSHA is forced socialism in the guise of worker safety
Where is the personal responsibility in having the goverment intrude into workplace safety. The freemarket can handle this problem much better.
Yeah. Signed into law by Nixon. Another leading Democrat, right? Food stamps expanded to unreal proportions by W, OSHA by Nixon but the Dems are to blame.

Look - the dumb cluck figured it out. The manic fool. "Post! Post! Post!" The world awaits his grains of wisdom mixed with heaps of bullshit. Kynes - the Pied Piper that even rats wouldn't follow.
So sweetly the song of madness. You've become unhinged, and discovered the Silver Key which unlocks the Gates of Yog Shothoth. Step through young supplicant, he awaits you beyond the realms of reason.

And don't forget to visit the Gift Shop.

Oh look. A literary fan. One that used Cliff's Notes but didn't read the whole book. How unique! Not.

and despite it's claims in the headlines, its not RARE for the amish and other small farmers to be probed by the EPA. for example, in 2003 several amish communities were sued by the EPA to protect a freshwater snail, despite the lack of any evidence that the amlettes had harmed these snails since their original land grants from George Washington. but then the nefarious amish bastards were cooking up some new fangled 15th century technology to turn cow shit into snail-tropic neurotoxins... or some such shit.

That is because those wires are not part of a finished product. Wires intended for usage inside of items, walls, and for commercial use are not required to have labels in the same way that consumer goods are.
No, it is because it is manufactured in accordance with ISO standards.
ISO standards don't allow for the use of lead as a lubricant in place of a bearing in the manufacturing process. Thus eliminating surface exposed lead.

If Wall-Mart cared, we would not be having this conversation.
Perhaps they are unaware it. Would you please tell them.

Let me put it this way myself

Why is it Wal Mart was considered a great place to work and now it is some new age sweat shop?
It never was considered a great place to work. Retail has been considered a job fit only for retards for the entire time that Wal-Mart has existed. Where did you get that at?

"May 2002 - President George W Bush shows unexpected support for the (food stamp/EBT) program by signing a law making significant expansions. The law, championed by the program's top official Eric Bost, restores the eligibility of many immigrants, raises benefits, and gives bonuses to the states that enroll the greatest number of eligible people".

Blows your frigging charge against the Democrats right out of your bathtub, duckie.
You can't use one sentence about something to deny an entire reality. Democrats don't deny they are pro-welfare and pro-medicare. None of them disagree with it. I really don't see why Chesus liked that since what you actually said was Bush helped the poor. He must be a great guy, right? You obviously don't know the difference between saying something and it being tree. My charge isn't blown out of the water, and everyone knows it. My statement never said Republicans weren't stupid and that they didn't do the same thing, it meant it was mostly a democrat issue.

My was: The government, democrats in particular, support medicare and want to give free insurance to people.

Your retort: President Bush gave out food stamps.

My followup: What the fuck do food stamps have to do with medicare?

Or maybe the US goverment thinks of all people as being good and with potential
Yes people are supposed to "do shit" for themselves But that doesnt preclude society from helping them out
I wonder if they called relief societys at the turn of the last century Socialist

Socialism in of itself isn't the problem, being forced into socialism is. Voluntary groups can do what they want and live how they want.

Dr. Kynes? You ain't any kind of doctor - medical or otherwise. You're too stupid, too narrow minded and too blind to even pass a GRE. Or even know what it is probably.

And the GRE is another "gubmint plot", right? If you can pay you should be able to play, right? Dipshit using the tag "Doctor". Gimme a fucking break.
I am going to go out on a limb and guess you don't know what 'Dr Kynes' refers to. Don't let your ignorance upset you.

I think you just said that Dr knows more than the thinks he does. Considering his confidence in what he knows, that is perhaps scary. cn

ISO standards don't allow for the use of lead as a lubricant in place of a bearing in the manufacturing presses. Thus eliminating surface exposed lead.

If Wall-Mart cared, we would not be having this conversation.

That isn't where the lead comes from. The lead itself is part of the plastic and keeps it from breaking when it bends. The lead leaches out of the plastic. While I am sure there are processes that use lead as a lubricant, that is not what you were talking about before. It is important to not confuse two things that have nothing to do with each other. Nor does this involve Wal-Mart in any way. Once again, there is lead in everything you eat, touch, and own. Those cords meet the safety standards of the country, those labels are for California. You cannot go by labels applied with California in mind. You even have warning labels on your parking lots in California, so you really have to ask "If everything has a safety label, what is actually dangerous?"

Also, have you ever tested your dirt in your yard for lead? You might be surprised to find that your yard is probably as bad as those cords are. How many mud pies did your kids make? Kids toys are only dangerous at 300ppm cause kids chew on them and swallow the paint. You aren't likely to ingest enough extension cord to hurt you.
