You got me on a technicality.
Still though, that is the capitalist approach to education or education within a capitalist system. I think FB360's example better shows education rewarding greed independently of capitalism. This example just shows capitalism rewarding greed for education. What is worse is that it is not at all greed for knowledge, but greed for credential.
However, I think even FB360's example is kind of a stretch, I don't know enough about North Korea to make an debate of it though.
In North Korea, during Kim Jong Il's reign, the general populous was purposely falsely educated so that they would remain sheep of flock to his herd.
Some examples are that he is God, and that everything good came from his doings. Furthermore, the rest of the world is EVIL, and everything bad is because of their doings. A more specific example I can state is from a documentary on Netflix, which you should check out. In the documentary, a doctor from the US was sent to North Korea to remove cataracts from civilians. In one instance he was successful in giving vision to an elderly lady who had never seen before. The first thing she did after the US doctor gave vision to her was to go over to a picture of Kim Jong Il, and thank HIM for giving her vision, when in fact he was the reason she had never seen before. Her actions were a direct result of the greedy education that Kim Jong Il instilled in her. She wasn't wrong for acting the way she did, for she knows no better
It's sad how greedy education can become. North Korea is an example of such
I'm trying to determine if you think the existence of money is a good thing or not. Once money is present, capitalism follows, practically by human reflex.
My principal beef with fb360's post is that all the companies he mentioned don't really make anything (except Apple, and you disposed of that with a picture).
What? Kidding?
Intel makes CPUs and microprocessors...
You can thank intel for giving you the ability to try refute my post on this forum.
Apple can thank intel as well, for apple only uses intel CPUs in their products
Besides AMD, which is going downhill, Intel is the only large company manufacturing CPUs.
CPUs are the brains of a computer. Without them, computers would be scrap metal and electronics.
Consequently, Intel is one of the highest-end companies that resides in the US. Moreover, all of their expensive fabrication is done in house, right here in the good ole U S of A
I could go on as well with more examples:
Boeing, Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, Microchip, HoneyWell, etc etc
