How many innocent lives are your guns worth?

Ever had a serious run in with child support Doer?
I'm no dead beat, but I have passed the Hunter S. Thompson driver's test. And I have gazed down the wrong end, good guys and bad, maybe 4 other times.

Listen, the reason they can be so serious is they will use deadly force.

There is no wiggle word around that.

I didn't say it was not seizure, I said that no one would physicaly come after your guns.

Consider rationaly for a moment. We see the rabid nature of most gun owners, does anyone actually believe that local police and troops would hazard a pitched house by house battle in order to grab guns? Does anyone figure that there are enough law enforcement officers or military to accomplish such a thing? Get real for once and drop the John Wayne wild west shootemup fantasy you all have about your weapons - it will never happen, it can never happen, you don't need your guns to protect your guns because no one is ever going to get them through force.

You haven't figured that out yet? I have and I'm a stupid liberal who believes in the all powerful monolithic, evil government.
no, they will just prohibit further sale or transfer and wait for the gun owners to die off.
or gin up some specious claim (like in Waco where it was meth labs, no... child molestation, no... machine guns, no... hand grenades, no... fomenting revolution, no... religious cultism, no... self immolation in a giant "suicide pact") and take down the owners of registered arms one by one.

or wait till a "national emergency" or "natural disaster" and then simply go in after the evacuation and collect arms left behind by evacuees who were informed that they would be shot if they traveled armed, as looters.

you claim to be "rational" but you are simply rationalizing your submission.

Canndo once told me that under no circumstance regarding guns, will a man wearing jackboots ever come to your house.

Hey canndo, what would have happened had you told the Government that you would keep not paying their taxes and state imposed child support? Do you think a guy with a gun would eventually show up at your door?

I told them both things actually - and the IRS finally let me off (without ever paying a penny btw), the child support finally threatened to remove my ownership of my home. Now I could have stayed anyway but they also removed all of my money - meaning I would have no heat, nor power, nor water. They also made it impossible for me to drive - I suppose I might have met up with a person with gun in that instance were I to have been pulled over. But being as how I could no longer pay my car payments, someone could have simply taken the vehicle while I was not in it.

nope - no guns. and that is the way government REALLY works.

Now, can we ever know for certain? NO. It was a hypothetical question and I believe I am allowed those.
and my original point is that your assumptions are invalid, and your hypothetical question is too far away from the realm of possibility.

If it gets to the point that the government is coming to your house to collect your guns, defense lawyers won't be able to do shit. You've already lost your rights.
Yeah, was being highly optimistic.. hence why the SHTF plan is laid out in the last post of mine.

When the government seizes your bank accounts, bleeds you of your money, and makes you foreclose on your house....how will they kick you out of the house?

Do you think someone with jackboots might come and tell you to get out of their house?

and those of us who have carefully ensured that we are judgement proof dont have to worry about the booger on the finger that is totally not touching us...

so i will be pursued with armed agents if they decide to take me down.

just because you were incompetent enough to get leveraged doesnt mean the government has adopted the Roddenberry Rules and Star Trek's utopian vision of Velvet Socialism

it just means you were easier to handle with the booger on the finger.

Boy, you have brain fog., Had you let it go farther, there would be guns and you know it. You seem to be trying to Pap us with this idea that the govt doesn't need guns and so doesn't need guns to enforce gun limits. So you are being full of shit.

Force and threat of deadly force is how this REALLY, REALLY works, bubble boy.

So... executive orders out of Langley for assassinations do not exist?

Some of the worlds best with handguns were trained at the farm - yet, they never use guns to get their mission accomplished?

The endless possibilities of killing someone without a gun provides a way for crazy people to kill regardless of if guns are legal or not. My thoughts... I like explosives personally easy to make.

Nope. I'm not a deadbeat like you. I actually take care of my kids. Just like anyone with integrity would do. Don't like it? Should've kept those pants zipped.
What you talking about? You asked. I answered. Why did you ask? Just trolling? I have never had to pay child support, OK?

Woop, you are talking to canndo.

Hear him! Hear him!!

Note clearly where I said "if your gun is registered"
Which is why I simply LOVE the state of AZ... No registration. Simple background check, no waiting period. Take the weapon home and no trace...

Went to a gun store today to get my 9mm checked out and the shelves were 1/2 bare. The place was PACKED with shooters and people buying guns... Gotta love the 2nd Amendment...

Obamanation...

The whole premise of the thread that you started is based on YOUR assumption that surrending firearms would prevent children from being shot.
Couch it how you like but you can't weasel out of what stated in your first post.

"If you knew for certain that surrendering your firearm would keep a given number of children from being shot, what would that number be?"

and please do not put words into my mouth. I did not say imprison, thats a gross assumption. How about responsible treatment ? How about not being allowed to purchase guns if your considered potentially dangerous? Surely if we don't try to work at the heart of the problem all we will ever do is put bandaids on top of bandaids.

No - it is based upon a supposition.

Why do you think that gun owners will wait for the government to squeeze everything they own out of them slowly? Do you really think these people will just sit there and take it in the ass?

You are under the assumption that the government will have to fire the first shot in order to get people to fight back.

That is exactly how it would happen. Who are you going to shoot at when your bank account is drained? When a your water is turned off?

Who is to say the limits of that "realm" - this is a discussion board, please tell me what I cannot discuss and I will abide.
