Humidifier question

Hello all.

I grow in a 4ft x 4ft x 6ft tent in a heated finished basement. Humidity has never been a problem for me until now. The cold winter and gas heat is keeping my RH at about 12%. Any tent growers in my situation use a humidifier in the tent. I'm in early veg stage.

I threw out my fair share of humidifiers since raising snot nosed kids decades ago.:wall:

Temps are 75-80F, My prior grows have never been during winter. Should I hit the big box store and pick one up?

It seems easier then wet towels and such.... My MH light is 24 hours for the next couple of weeks.

There a few things to try, first you can put some water in your tent under the light with a fan blowing across it to rasie RH, or you can pick up a warm mist humidifier for next to nothing.

My humidity is the same. I have never felt the need to raise it.

If your humidity is too high you have mold worries.
What is the problem if it is too low?

I keep mine at a steady 45 and the girls love it.

You can get leave curl/drop from low low humidity. I've seen people with 0% so 12% isn't the worst I've seen.

I like to keep my RH at least at 30 as it keeps the girls a less on the damp side.

I like to keep RH at that level, got a humidifier today and got hooked up with some Northern Lights...not from Walmart :)

Trousers, the reason I don't want to keep 12%RH is a higher rh during veg helps keep transpiration in check.
