LED Companies w/ LINKS

the new 2013 feros I think might be from cidly since they split with A51.. They look identical to the apollos in every way even the heat sync... I have to agree that A51 is killing it and will be the go to led for a while. They are more expensive than cheap chinese lights but cheaper and better quality than the more expensive panels. Theres plenty of journal on here that support that. next would be hans and apache tech. Everybody on here is overly anxious for the new a51 cree panels to get here....... A51 probably has the best warranty around too

Can I get a soul clap...
hmm confused, so FERO get their lights from CIDLY but use bespoken parts etc...The A51 is identical to the FERO one. (and yes so are the apollo and the Grown Northern Ms-0006 which is what im using at the mo),
so did Ares51 used to work for FERO then and now split up as a sister company?
Ive looked at the A51 and it comes from FERO? ---> http://feroled.com/a51-90-led-grow-light/ now its this that confuses me, that link points to the A51-90 but its owned by FERO.

Then this guy claims he is having problems with FERO...read back...so forgive me if im missing something, doesnt that come across as suspicious?
Ive had time to think and ponder and study and yes i acted like a wanker towards him but i did state that he was being very polite.... But There is no excuse really, i just got my defenses up a bit, So my bad, hangs head in shame.....whatever problems this guy has with FERO i wish him all the best.
I dont know FERO either its just that ive seen a lot of journals done by their equipment and their shows in amsterdam....so assumptions were made on my behalf and im kissing arse here people.
Whoever owns that damn light is definately close to hitting the correct spectrum, their IR range is impressive and IR gives off loads of heat therefor their hardware must be impressive to handle it.
I would love to see this in action (but not for myself) see the results it has.
The LED community of suppliers here in the UK is a friendly one, Im on the phone to them most of the time, talking tech, so consider myself to be more a friend to them then a customer.
And more and more companys are popping up in the UK and contacting me becasue of my journals etc,,,,

So yes yes yes, im sorry to Area51, they do deserve a fair crack of the whip and i'll support them in any way i can if needed.
Such a cool name for a LED company aswell and the bloke was very polite.
And this being easter an all.......shame on me

So here i am, awaiting my punishment, standing tall, i did the crime now i do the time...Peace to all.

Eraser has never shied away from the truth behind the components, the drop shipping, or even spectrum talk, imho it's refreshing to be able to get to the core of a LED company that provides as much transparency as possible. Once again, I am big on the feedback we get from average consumer like Beefbisq and myself and A51 definitely has successful journals to show ...maybe i'll do a sidebyside of a51/illumitex. I know by buddy is getting 2x of the 2013 A51...and I can't explain my unnatural gravitation towards the illumitex light, but I think I might pick one up. $1200 is steep for sure though, definitely no denying that's expensive; USA built though

Yup but no one has actually answered my question regarding confusion between what he's selling or what FERO's selling, his one even has the same model number as the A51. So whats that all about?

Seems i hit a nerve there, hmmmmm anyhoo keep your modular series, im more interested in DMA and the illumitex light now. Best of luck with him and FERO, let them deal with each other....

I see, thanks for clarifying. So units like kessils and illumitex? I've also been seeing import lights like "budzilla" "vanq" and hydro grow's latest "sol" Are these similar to what youre talking about?

Whats this DMA all about? I've seen it mentioned a few times now?
Mixed Array LED's , simply put, a lot of LED's all in one matrix in one lense, not seperate lenses per LED, more lumens for less wattage, this is to be seen as they have just 'landed' here and im expecting mine very soon, will use them to finish off my cheese clones at the mo to see if they finish earlier because of the extra lumage, then ill be doing another journal with them from start to finish, possibly using Autos as they are up and coming at the mo, might go for the super autos aswell as they do look interesting.

Yup, these ones are new aswell

but not the ones i getting, no doubt they will flood the market soon, confusing the hell out of everyone, hence me testing them, apparantely my supplier ordered lots of them and they're sold straight away to his regular customers, so im quite excited about getting this new type (i posted a pic earlier, its the red one with big lenses)

Seeing as you lot are descendants of us and europe you just critcised yourself. well done old chap....
Ego trippin tuff. How are we descendants of brits and euros. I don't have a British bone in my family tree. My ancestors are Spaniards , Jews and navajo indians. they were here far before Britain existed. Shit my ancestors built the pyramids on both side of the world.

Now back to lights

The past couple years a51 and fero worked together building the same lights. The af600 is one example. They are good lights. A51 and fero had a falling out. I just saw the new fero and every light has the same casing and heat sync as cidly or very dam close. Cidly has the patent on that design. Fero may possibly carry the new cree lights from a51 but that is up in the air. EH talked all.about that a week or so ago. I think it was this thread. Not sure.

Apollo vs. A51 (old post reposted)

A51 is in no way associated with Cidly nor shares any parts with their Apollo lights.

Cidly uses cheap Epileds and drives them to 700mA, A51 uses Helixeon LEDs, a much better quality and also more expensive, and driven at a much safer 600mA

Anyone that has compared pics can see they're different. Vent holes are different, fan covers are different, lens and lens holders are different.

Apollo:

A51:

Can the Cidly Apollo's do this:

Apollo has those side vent scoops which we never used!!

Same exact my hairy ass.

Anyways....

What is the biggest difference in the AF-600 and the 2013 line about to release other than the LED brand switch. Debating whether to actually wait on the new model or not. I think a side by side Illumitex and A51 could be happening

As far as the issues between A51 and Fero...

It's simple, more than a year ago, we had released 1 LED panel together. The AF600.

Since then, Brent from Fero has proved to be quite the dumbass, and a scam artist.

He has attempted to rip us off (A51) for one time $1670, and another time for $17500. Seventeen Thousand and five hundies!!!!

Not today!!!

We've been nice and attempted to go our own separate ways with Brent, but he keeps grasping at every dollar A51 has, so.... Here it is.

No no no... Blocked!!!!

For one, I am a fan of the Illumitex, and plan on testing them to the fullest extent. They make great diodes. Can't deny that.

Secondly, the AF 600 is, rather was, a project between A51 and Fero.

It was a split idea between 2 companies.

A51 and Fero has since then split up due to indifferences (them trying to scam us - A51, is one good reason)

Since then, A51 has went forward with a design they've/we've (A51) been working on since 2009. It's a long time in the making. Without Fero.

The idea was/is, to have the most spectrum/PAR/least watts per CUBIC foot (not meaningless square foot but rather cubic foot) per watt used, and the result is the T*e S***e Lamp. (edited because we're waiting on copyright/trademark stuff still)

Fero will go back to selling Apollo's and LED Star rip off HGL lamps. Mark my words.

We wish Fero the best of luck in their future endeavors.
