I think its a shame Macho Man isn't in the hall of fame. Supposedly he messed around with Vince's daughter Stephanie and Vince had other problems with him. Like the Undertaker, Bam Bam Bigelow had awesome maneuvers for a big guy.

I so loved wrestling back in the 80's.. granted I was 10+ but.. we also did not have much else on TV at the time.. cable had pretty much just started being introduced where we lived in CT.. There were some great names.. Jimmy Superfly Snuka.. Roddy Piper.. Andre the giant. (never cared for Hulk really) Sargent Slaughter.. anyone remember when Roddy Piper smashed Jimmy's head with a coconut?

I have not watched it in years cept the few times my son has it on or wants me to see someone's match..

I loved wrestling in the old days too when the road warriors were around and ultimate warrior. I love wrestling because of the undertaker though. Undertaker vs yokozuno in the casket match was the best when the undertaker rose out of the casket! I have never been to a live wrestling match either I hope you have fun demon!

Yeah vince had a vision of his character. Vince said he always wanted a texas outlaw looking character and Mark Callaway fit the roll perfect. I have watched a bunch of shoot interviews lol
Did you ever hear Vampiro's claim of meeting with Vince and his agents, explaining to them who he was and his gimmick, not being hired, then less than a month later the Undertaker debuts?

Vampiro is not known as being the most trustworthy guy so I'd have to check the dates to be sure...

Back in the early 80s I used to cheer for Iron Mike Sharp. He almost never won, but he was so funny to watch.

I have been to NY once and yes it was crazy. There was an old man with a cane walking behind me and my family in times square and he kept yelling at us to hurry up. Everyone is such in a big hurry up there. It was too much city for my but I still enjoyed it.

I didn't hear about that! Very interesting. Vampiro was a Canadian wrestler I know but I don't think Vince created the undertaker against.

His son Richie is in WWE developmental right now, remember the little kid he used to bring out in the little dragon outfit who was carried by his wife around the ring?

It was very sad about Ric Flairs son dying in the hotel room recently. He was an aspiring wrestler too.

He was found dead in a hotel room they think its drug related.
His name was Reid, he was a state champ in amateur wrestling where he competed against Steamboat's son Richie, and yes he did have previous issues with drugs as is very common in pro-wrestling.

Reid had not gotten into WWE developmental yet, unlike his sister Ashley who is, but he had some successful tours recently with All-Japan Wrestling.
