not the best pic but the food was awesome, when your mate pulls it out the bag, it was nicest tapas ive had better than any restaurant. calamari, meatballs, stuffed peppers, omelette. fried smokey and sweet chorizo. home made Alioli Sauce.

how the spanish haven't all died of heart attacks is beyond me.

Holy shit, id eat that whole table, legs n all. Nice spread rock star. Those meat balls look like theyd go perfect with that whisky. All those red flavors cut by a wonderful collage of straight brown sweetness. Heaven.
One question brother, what did you dip the croquettes in?? I need to know :):):)

i think my pal said it was some sort of healthy oil stuff it was his only critique of them, they should have been done in extra virgin olive oil i think he said, i dunno by that time i was pretty drunk. I think i've just misunderstood what you mean, he made his own mayo and garlic with herb sauce or Alioli to you n me, it's the yellow ramekin on the right.

scotch collection he had was lush. glenlivet 12 yo was for smashing and that's saying something if your lowest rating is that nice hahah. the bottle in the pic is just shy of 120 proof. few of those and it was grazing on the feast for the evening.

tonight, i'm smothering pork chops in apple sauce, wrapping in parma ham and baking them for about 20 mins, with a it of salad to go with.

Well actually i was pretty drunk lastnight also. I quit my job. I got fed up with my coke head bosses finally after they called me at 4am after i hadnt worked in 4 days and made me show up 9am to tell me that the kitchen was dirty. I hadnt even been there in four frickin daaaaaaaays!!! I just looked at them with their rosey red cheeks and mouthes twitching like fools and said....fuck this, you got two weeks to find someone and then im gone. I hate junkies, they make my skin crawl.

Sounds like they are tripping on power trying to make you jump when they want.
Good for you anyway and I hope you get another job soon.

Arsehole bosses suck. I couldn't be bothered to confront the manager of my last place knowing in advance what his reaction would be so instead went straight to the business owner and sat for almost hours explaining why the manager was running the place into the ground :) Then as sous chef, i gave him 7 days notice and left.

Ma cooked up a rather nice pheasant casserole tonight :) Although i have to admit i found it a little bland, nothing in it that really carried it above and beyond that very generic casserole flavour they all seem to have. Might make up some venison wontons tomorrow, although will have to see, I'll be in a row boat for 6 hours tomorrow afternoon looking for some rainbow/brown trout, so who knows what dinner will be like

Other than the salad, that looks damned good. I normally do it with a whole pork tenderloin, then coat the whole tenderloin in chilly jam (chelly is a fav brand of mine) and then rolled up in parma ham then cooked till pink. Not the cheapest of dishes though.

Thought i'd just throw this picture up and make a statement. FUCK KP NUTS!

Kuroi bought a small bag of 'dry roast' peanuts the other day, and every handful we poured out, we seemed to have more powder than nuts. So once we got to the end we opened the bag up out of curiosity, and take a look at this shite. Probably more grams of flavouring than there was peanuts. we then looked on the back of the bag of DRY ROASTED peanuts, to find that they are not roasted at all and just have a dry roast flavouring. What a load of crock! Went and bought a cheap ass bag of actual roast peanuts from lidl, about a quater of the price, and it was night and day, they were great!

Two pence coin for reference. Bare in mind we'd already poured out handfuls of this stuff. Not gonna be buying any KP brand nuts again! That is predominantly salt and monosodium glutamate.
