So go get a job you lazy putz.
Maybe if companies didnt only hire through temp agencies that take about 1/3 of your pay and then give them the ability to fire you with no consequences and to refuse to give you health insurance even though you work the amount of hours to qualify but since youre not technically "hired" youre as disposable as can be. Like a tool, once they wear you down, they toss you and grab another cheap one.
Also, the automobile industry and banks probably had a large roll to play in that as well seeing that the numbers start to drop around the "bailout" time.
I was more talkin about the company that youre working for, that should be the one offering/providing such things. I worked for a temp agency for a few months and was sick of it. If the shop would have hired me on normally id get $15 an hour. But after getting shafted by the "we only hire through agencies" bullshit and finally getting hired i got an astonishing $8.75 an hour. And that is the biggest bullshit ever. Along with the long ass "probation periods" of at least a year sometimes 18 months of absolutely NO fuck ups. Not a minute late, not a part fucked, not a cnc that needs to be reset, or youre cut like that. Its one thing to have high standards and QC, and its another to be cheap and want to give people minimal benefits even though they are deserving of it.
Its like if someone could own a street, and just let it get the worst potholes ever, but it was one of the only streets to go down so you had to drive it at least once a day.
And at the top of that street is the owner, with a car repair shop, ready to fix everyones blown out shocks and scraped bumpers and put mufflers that got ripped off back on.
It sickens me that a company that does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ,but hand the application from me to the company i wish to work for, gets 1/3 of my income.
yup, big bullshit that many big corps go through now a days, to make it easier to fire people, and only hire people on temporary basis.
exactly. and people wonder why people enjoy unemployment benefits. We can take back what they have taken from us. I know thats no way to think and i dont personally but i can see the outrage people have with companies and want to get money however they can and FUCK the govt. If only it directly impacted the companies instead of us, the taxpayers.
And it should affect the companies more if we got the money out of politics. If we made the big companies pay the taxes due.
Well over 500 BILLION is hidden in offshore banks and tax havens that is lining billionaires pockets while they try to blame it on welfare and the poor.
The reason we are in so much debt is war, and tax dodging. SS and other govt programs dont help the debt but we shouldnt have to cut funding for things like that when we could just become more strict on the companies running within OUR country and should have to pay US, the U.S., the taxes due.
i dont care if your dem, rep, lib, con, anarchist, radical, prog, left, right, center. EVERYONE should be in favor of gettin money out of the hands/pockets of the people making decisions about OUR country.
Why chip away at the debt when we can just reduce costs? Reducing costs will reduce debt faster than paying it off will.yup and there goes your pension/retirement. And people wonder why were taking advantage of unemployment and govt aid?? Theyre the ones allowing companies to fuck us over. Theyre acting eye for eye and expect us to turn the other way and give them breaks...
i know it wouldnt be enough to run the govt but it would start chipping away at the debt instead of making the middle class pay for the upper classes stupidity and greed while the debt continues to increase.
Back when i worked for a temp agency they did offer health insurance. It cost a lot of money and didnt cover shit with a 10k deductable to boot
only if you either havent looked or get your opinions handed to you by right wing AM radio and chain emailsGeez, that sounds peculiarly like every plan under Obamacare.

If companies were not allowed to cut costs ( Euphemism for firing people) then they can't buy back their own stock to make their numbers artificially stronger so more people buy the stock ,which makes the price go up, which entices more people to buy, which causes the price to go up,which causes more people to buy.....
Until people finally figure out that no one works there and the company pretty much closed its doors.
Then the stock goes to zero in 1 minute and you're left holding the bag, except the bankers and wall street already sold theirs last week at a very nice profit.
