help are flys a problem ?

There's is a few little flys around the soil and top sort of hop around in the pot does any one know what thy are and are they harming my babies peace :confused:
 
could just be fruit flies, I get a few of those, they never seem to cause me any troubles, they however, definitely don't hop, so this may be irrelevant...
 
Ok thanks what are they doin there they don't seem to be causing any harm. And there is not thousands of them like spider mites : / and could I have a fungus problem then : / gettin worried now lol

I've not seen any visible damage so haven't been to worried and couldn't find any info so just sighned up to this but they don't hop as such they just sort move in one swift movement n chill n walk round a bit n repeat
 
If you are letting the pots dry out fully between waterings (this is actually not just good to prevent pests but is essential for root development as well) you should be fine

Keep your grow area CLEAN, don't allow dead vegetation to lay around.

You won't see the damage they cause - the immature grubs eat dead vegetation and the fine hair roots.
Allowing the soil to dry well between waterings helps keep them from breeding more babies.
And setting out sticky traps catches the adults before they lay their eggs.
 
Drys out a lot before I. Water never hundread percent sure though and so perhaps keeping it cleaner in there then could find the flies go away ??? I'm only 19 days from harvest on my first real grow would hate anything to scre it up
