    Running out of room

If you do supercrop, post some pics after they recover. I feel like a 90-degree bend about 1/2 to 2/3 of the way up on both of those plants would make for a fantastic canopy...

    Anybody know what this is?

Yeah, I will say it looks surprisingly green and alive for being in a bag of compost. Who knows how it got in there but I'm sure the packing process for that stuff is not super clean or precise. Just be glad it's vegetative matter and not plastic or trash.

    Anybody know what this is?

That's a plant. Maybe corn or some other kind of grass. I would just leave it, it'll break down eventually and feed the soil microbes. Lots of folks take the remnants of plants they harvest and either use them as a mulch, or mix them into the soil for next round. Same idea, it all gets turned...

    SIP thread -- (Sub-Irrigated Planter)

Huh, never had one go rancid (you mean like anaerobic?) but I have had problems transplanting plants that are not well-rooted directly into the SIP. At best they seem overwatered and take forever to get going, at worst I have actually have one die on me. I started waiting until they're fully...

Stealthy ideas to duct intake fr window

Good point! My tent is in an open room in my basement, air comes in the bottom right side and goes out the top left side. I'm sure the majority of tent grows are similar. I could see maybe if the room the tent is in is really small and the door is kept closed, there might be some concern with...

Stealthy ideas to duct intake fr window

True, I was thinking more for the sake of stability/consistency than anything else. Depending on where you're at, outside temperatures can fluctuate by 20-30 degrees fahrenheit on a given day, not to mention the variations from month to month over the whole year. I wouldn't want to have to...

Stealthy ideas to duct intake fr window

Maybe a silly question, but why do you need to pump outside air into the tent...? Seems like then you'd be subject to all the random temperature and humidity swings mother nature will throw at you. If you pull air from inside the house, it will be much easier to maintain a stable environment...

    Official Gaia Green Grow Method

I would think more like 2-3 tablespoons per gallon for re-amending, especially if using small pots. You might even go as high as 4 tablespoons per gallon if the soil is really depleted of nutrients (that equates to about 2 cups per cubic foot, which is a good starting place for soil built from...

My new f*%#ed up,absent minded grow from start

I feel like 2-3 cups per cubic foot (~7.5 gallons) is a pretty good starting point, so 13-20 cups for 50-ish gallons. If it were me I would just use the 4-4-4 in the initial mix, and maybe top-dress with the 2-8-4 in flower if you think it's needed...? They both contain kelp meal so not sure...

First super soil run how did I do?

Yup water-only grows are definitely a thing. As said above, the trick is using a big enough pot to provide enough "food" for the plants' lifetime, without the mix being too strong. Think about a plant out in nature, the soil composition doesn't change with the seasons, the plants just use what...

    Purple pigments on leaves …

Pretty much, not necessarily the exact same because then it might be too dry, but you can let it get pretty close before watering again

    Purple pigments on leaves …

At this stage you probably want to use the weight of the pot as a gauge for when to water. You can keep a pot of dry soil on hand for comparison

    Advice for Autobot mistake ?

You can definitely repot it and correct your setup. If the roots aren't completely filling the pot yet then let the medium dry out a bit first, so the root ball doesn't fall apart when you remove it from the pot. If you need to leave it unattended for 2 weeks, and the autopot really isn't...

Any reason for going with such small containers? If you're doing SOG style you could probably use bigger containers like Earthbox size or bigger, and do 3-4 plants per box, and it would be a lot less work

    How Does Your Garden Grow??????

Heck yeah, love me some paw paws! I wish your buddy luck! Make sure they grow at least 3 and plant them fairly close together, because they need to cross-pollinate in order to produce fruit We went hiking today and got a decent haul of wild ones...
