PPMs and following what's on the bottle...

From the page, it says: "3.Please adopting standard buffer solution calibration, incorrect calibration would cause measurement error, thus affecting the accuracy of the test solution, or cause the instrument not working properly." I have the same meter (along with a $15 HM TDS-EZ). I think it's...

    LED for micro cab...

Maybe it's not burn, but P deficiency. P is available at higher ph. Soil ph rises as it dries. If you kept it too wet (watering too frequently, not enough drainage) that could hold the ph lower. So, maybe it's just overwatering.

    LED for micro cab...

They don't look bad. I might see burnt tips on the new growth. Kelloggs Patio Plus is fairly hot by itself. I only use 20% (with 60% Pro-Mix HP and 20% perlite). It's kind of barky/clumpy. I like it with peat. It adds some texture peat doesn't have by itself. But, PP by itself is kind of...

    Npk ratio advice wanted

I doubt it. (Ca inhibits K, from the chart attached.). But, without a real picture of the plant we're talking about, we'll never know what "this" is. I don't think N toxicity is the end of the world. There's worse things that can happen. I don't think that would cause N tox. But, again, I...

PPMs and following what's on the bottle...

You can calibrate your meter. Add 1g of table salt to 1L of distilled water. It will be 1000ppm. You need a fairly accurate scale for that. Or, add 3.79g to 1gal. That would reduce any precision errors from a typical gram scale. Definitely close enough for the measurements we make. ("in the...

    Spectrum king led

I read references to Rami Pradi pitching these lights, and having been previously involved with an LED company. Brendan seems so passionate, I assumed he was the visionary behind it. But, that adds even more confusion to what already seems confusing to me. If he's just a frontman, what does he...

From the pictures, I'd say yes.

    Spectrum king led

I guess that's what still stands out to me about Rami and SpectrumKingLED. He calls COBs a "myth." That's a strong statement. When he was on this forum he defended it (or talked around it). Then his PAR readings seemed a little less-than methodical (for someone claiming the earth is flat). It...

    Pk13/14

Are you using the Canna "lineup?" Or, are you supplementing other base nutrients? The reason I ask is that what Canna recommends may be for use with their "lineup." It may not work as directed if you use other product(s). It's better to focus on the NPK ratio you wish to achieve, not just...

    Npk ratio advice wanted

I'm not familiar with those products. If it were me, I would enter the details from the bottles into the spreadsheet. Then see what it looks like at the quantities you're using; what it looks like if you change the quantities, combine grow and bloom, etc.

    Npk ratio advice wanted

A photo would help. But, yes, if the tips are clawed, that's a sign of N toxicity. I wouldn't flush unless you've been overfeeding. But, your ratio is 1-1-1.5. You don't need to go lower than that. You could raise P a little (to 1.2 or 1.5). That would, relatively speaking, reduce your N. I...

    Npk ratio advice wanted

This spreadsheet will tell you the NPK ratio resulting from mixing multiple products. You can then adjust the amounts of those products to change the ratio. In veg, I think 3-1-2 is high for soil. I can only do N=2 without getting N toxicity. But, people use Dyna-Gro Foliage Pro which is 3-1-2...

    Bad news for my Autoflower.

Yes. It needs to be dried, and maybe cured if you want better quality. That's a complex topic. There is a curing forum. growweedeasy has a topic about it. But, you could let it air dry and smoke it too. How long to dry depends on your climate.

    LED for micro cab...

My plan is to read noonday sun outside. Give you that number. You can calibrate the same app (linked above) to get the same lux for noonday sun. But, I think 3000-4000 lux would be safe. I don't think your sensor would be so far off that you couldn't be in that range. I would try to err on...

How often should I be feeding?

You should water when the soil is exceptionally dry (lift the container, it should feel light. But, don't wait until the leaves droop/wilt. If you do, they'll bounce back within 30 minutes of watering. It can be useful to do that a time or two to learn what "too dry" feels like when you lift the...

Bagseed & MiracleGro Tomato ("the cheapsta'")

Jan 9 (Day 45) LST. The plant's a little stretchier than I'm accustomed to. It stretched a little in early veg before I had enough cool light. And, it seems a little stretchy again. It could be due to using too much warm light too soon. I bent the main stem to make the canopy flatter: I like...

Leaves curl up in flower stage. Pls help(with photos)

I've never done it. Maybe someone else knows. The best thing to do is try it one way and the other, see for yourself. Flip a coin to decide which you do this time. :)

PPMs and following what's on the bottle...

Yes. But, instead of abstracted "this much bottle A, this much bottle B" I think it helps to know the NPK ratio you're actually feeding (the result of mixing all those bottles.). This helps you vary your NPK ratio, see how the plant responds. And, it helps you move to other sources of nutrients...
