    Dreaded lighting saga

Send Rahz a couple grand: http://www.tastyled.com/product-p/t3-1750.htm I love growing under LED but you don't state a motivation for changing from HPS.

    New build problem

The Mean Well data sheet specifically forbids shorting the dimmer leads together. Have you used the DMM? Edit: I don't know how to guide you remotely, sorry.

Pictures of your DIY lights - Post your pics!!!

An adapter plate allows the smallest Mean Well HBG to drive a CXB3590. The Giga is drilled (and tapped) for the 3050/3070 series also but I wouldn't be surprised if the smaller COBs performed as well or better on the Mega 100mm due to lower mass of its central core.

    Help with bluelab ppm meter

See, that's the advantage of using EC--we don't have to ask or say what conversion factor is being used like when a ppm number is given. http://www.kindgreenbuds.com/marijuana-grow-guide/difference-between-ppm-and-ec/

    Wago ???

In words: Raising the cam lever compresses the spring contact. A stripped wire is inserted into the gap. Snapping the lever down allows the spring contact to rise and "choke" the wire in place.

Driving two CXB 3590 bars properly. 200W/300W

Yes. Well, you can run a whole bunch in parallel but the current is decreased to each COB. Ten COBs in parallel would receive 0.572A each.

    cheap li-cor on ebay

A few? How many does a person need? :) The value here for us is the quantum sensor. The current generation Li-Cor quantum sensor (only) is about $400 (actually, the previous generation from a year ago). The new Apogee SQ-500 is $295, $495 with digital meter. I was considering buying a...

Driving two CXB 3590 bars properly. 200W/300W

HLG-240H-42 would drive up to 2.86A in parallel 36V COBs but as said before, if all current flows into one (for whatever reason) = toast. The HLG-320H-42 will work for sure with 3 COBs in parallel. The -36 is only rated up to 36V for constant current and the CXB3590 is 37.25Vf @ 2.8A.

LED or DIY suggestions and ideas

RIU advertiser and member "Rahz" is tastyled.com Good question about 3070 vs 3590. The outputs of different bins can be compared with this Cree spreadsheet: http://pct.cree.com/dt/index.html Comparing prices at cutter.au.com, I'd say 3070 is the better value BUT there is a 90CRI 3000K CXB3590...

    Sannies Shop Review

Seedfinder says SLH is SSH x Lemon Skunk and Lemon Skunk is Skunk x Citral Indica. Jack Herer and SSH are combinations of Northern Lights, Haze, and Skunk. Phenotype seems like the right word: "The genotype is the set of genes in our DNA which is responsible for a particular trait. The...

    Sannies Shop Review

I'd say it is a mix. Super Silver Haze has the same genetics as Jack Herer but in a different order. Shack is half Sannie's Jack and half Shiva, an indica. Shackzilla is SSH x Shack. Physically, it looks like a sativa dominant hybrid but the effect seems more like a 50/50 hybrid.

    Hennepdesk?

I found the threads where people put pond liner on the floor and then have a sump pump at the low point. Mmmm . . . now I can't find it. The Majestic site has an expired web cert but: https://www.rollitup.org/t/mapito-grow-medium-vs-mapitousa-the-final-conclusion.787425/
