I am using a chopped down sstb for runs, and I agree the absolute center of the filter that is being actively sprayed through should be pretty clear. The filters definitely seem to wick up the oil as it is being sprayed though, they are definitely wet and sticky from past the edge of the tube...

it seems like there is a wicking action in the filters when i run through them. They are always wet, sticky, good smelling, and stiffen up when they dry. is there really nothing left in them? :cry:

So I have been hanging onto the old used filters from my runs and am building up quite the collection. My intention is to pack a tube full of these once I have enough of them. Am i fooling myself in thinking that this is even worth the effort? TIA!!

how does the hay smell transfer into the flavor then qwizo? It has definitely been there in multiple runs i have done of very different looking mids, is it some new terpene that is created as it ages and is transferred into the bho?

i have done it quite a few times, and find that it is completely dependent on the smell of the starting product. If it has that hay smell, it will always come through in the end product. If you can stick your nose in the bag and like the smell, then can be worth it.

My rig is gathering dust since i got a dabbler. I got it out last week cause i missed it, and the taste actually better in the dabbler.

if you didnt get anything out, its still in there... I would re run... When you say very little oil drained out and lots of butane, you mean it went clear pretty quickly? What kind of extractor? My little cut down SSTB holds about 5-6 grams tightly packed, and the outbound end only has any...

doing the variety thing now, which helps. I still say the wife and I stay stoned longer but consume less dabbing exclusively compared to combusting. That effect was magnified even more when we got a dabbler. poor oil rig hasnt seen daylight in weeks

Where can you find the acrylic to make the lid? I can not seem to find anything suitable locally.
