110w is nothing for veg. I am currently using a 250w for veg. Has been on it since it sprouted. Although 1" away from the plant is awfully close, probably should move it a few inches away. But you are right, no plant can use that much light as a seedling.

They're seeds. If anyone working at there knows what they are, they are probably growing themselves lol. It's not like they're going to hold you hostage and plant them to see what they really are. I highly doubt dogs can smell seeds. That's kinda silly.

Why does rockwool have you worried? It's a medium just like soil. Are you growing hydroponically? If you are, why would you use soil? Just leave the seed in the pH'd rockwool until it sprouts. It's stupidly simple. Just keep it somewhat warm as seeds will take longer to germinate below 75F.

Unless you literally are germinating dozens of seeds just put them in soil or rockwool and let them sprout/pop out that way. You have a far less likelihood of killing it. They are extremely fragile at that stage.
