    noob alert, first grow

Any fan/exhaust set-up that causes negative pressure. Move your fan to suck air out instead of pushing it in. Use the passive on the intake and the active on the exhaust. That'd be where I'd start.

    fan leafs, trim or not?

Growing outdoors is a whole different beast. I spent 17 years growing outdoors in Tennessee. In my experience, plants just don't grow as many leaves indoors. I used to veg my clones over the winter in my garage to plant outside in April. And in 3 months of veg indoors they would put on 1/4 of...

    fan leafs, trim or not?

True, but even fully-developed fan leaves can act as a buffer if you screw the pooch on something. If you have a deficiency the plant can "eat" the fan leaves if it needs to. And on the opposite, if you throw too much go-go juice in the mix, the leaves will help absorb the excess and take a good...

    monster cropping?

It's not necessarily going to increase your yields. But in general it's easiest just to flower a plant and use the bottom branches you trim off as clones to reveg and monster crop. Usually I wait til about 2-3 weeks into flower. NOT after 12/12. True flower. Like, get some buds forming on the...

    fan leafs, trim or not?

I use 'em for clones in my monster cropping experiments. Why waste good shoots... But yes, I take off the lowest branches usually. I say usually because there is always that one plant that grows wider than tall and those bottom branches wind-up producing some great looking buds.

    Tuck, don't pluck.

    noob alert, first grow

Your plant isn't anywhere near big enough to need a 7gal. 1 gallon per foot of growth is the accepted formula. I grow 2-3 foot SoG plants and only use 2 gallon grow bags. I use 3 gallons if I am going from seed. More dirt takes more water. It takes me 2 quarts of water to get a nice run off...

    Critical kush (barneys farm)

You didn't read that whole thread did you? When someone is advising another grower to spend $20 on a liter of 4% soluble potash... fuck yeah I'll give 'em a hard time.

    Critical kush (barneys farm)

And as I said. Telling someone to never go over 6.2 in soil is incorrect. Your pictures are irrelevant to what science has to say.

    Critical kush (barneys farm)

Anyone can post plant pics... That doesn't change science. Telling someone that the max their pH in soil should be is 6.2 is simply not correct, good sir.

    Critical kush (barneys farm)

You mean like this? 6.2 is the minimum sir. 6.8 is the sweet spot.

    Critical kush (barneys farm)

I ph my nutes (in soil) between 6.2 and 7.0 and let it rip. I wouldn't go under 6.2. Not sure why you say that's the max... hell that's my minimum.

First time grow (Bagseed Indoor CFL)

Your two 100w equivs are probably around 13w-20w lights. So you actually have between 26w (low) and 40w(high) of light in there. I believe my 23w are 150w equivs. And I use 16 of them. More lights sir. Even if you are on a budget, a 4-pack of 23w's cost $10 at Wal-Mart. Get to it. 100w of light...

First time grow (Bagseed Indoor CFL)

Use the -Upload A File- button to post your pics directly to the thread so I can see 'em. I grow CFL also, and my plants can get pretty gnarly. So I doubt it's your light. Some strains/phenos just don't pack on the trichomes. Are they real 100w's? Or 100w equivalent? As for how long to wait...

    Organic vs. Inorganic

Organic vs inorganic is a pretty broad subject. People have different measuring sticks... even when it comes to the government. Some states allow some hydroponic systems to be classified as organic, and some states require that it be grown in soil to be classified as organic. (How you can have a...
