If it's what i'm thinking, there are two types. one is for scrog and one is more for supporting clones and autos.

@BudgetGrows, has that plant been re-vegged? how did you get that branching like that?

what he said. and also remember... the plant could easily more than double in size during the first 2-3 weeks of flower. (the stretch).

For a scrog screen i would suggest using string, not metal or wire... it will become grown into the buds. I have been using 2" holes but am trying 3" this time.

Leaf discoloration, wilting, and dying. PH is fine, please help

the spots may be calcium? i ain't no guru. The lower stuff yellowing and dying off is pretty much normal for me and think it may be from lack of light. nothing to worry about there, just pull 'em off. The others do look overwatered or something, I really don't know. I would recommend some...

Actually, I just began the curing process... had 'em in there and took 'em out. thanks!

    bud humdity

I have heard some people say that but that is what they are made for and personally, the bud tastes good to me. I may try it without on this next plant. I think other factors may have been to blame in those cases... like too high temps in flower is one thing that would cause it. Man, i told you...

    bud humdity

I use boveda's once it's stabilized. we want RH inside the jars to be 60-65%. This requires an accurate hygrometer and recommend the caliber IVR's mounted inside the lids. those cheap one's accuracy are +-5% and that just won't cut it for our purposes here. If you wait until the stems bend at...

You made it back! good deal. runoff was looking good when i posted that but look what happened after: my runoff is going up instead of down. Last few waterings/flush were: 2/7 = 6.8pH./212ppm. 2/10 = 6.6pH./249ppm. 2/12/17 = 6.3pH./437ppm. and just plain water as you suggested, no flawless...

    first grow seedling day 3

They look fine to me. they should begin to develop more quickly as they put on more leaves. (the photosynthesis thing).

oh ok, i thought you had 'em all out of the cups. you're right, it needs the warmth to help get the roots going.

Am no guru by any stretch but a 77F root zone temp sounds waaay too warm to me. Once established, the root zone should be closer to 68-70F i think, really wanting to say 66F... again, i ain't no guru and after transplant, i took it out of the soil. I give it ~68F water.

As I understand, temps should be taken in the shade and out of the wind. Ideally, we are wanting the air temperature without wind or sun interfering with it... or so they say. Meteorologists take temp readings in an open field, within a shaded screened structure, 4 feet off the ground. That...

    Airy buds

I have not tried this but am planning to try it on the popcorn buds from pending harvest (another day or 2 i think! :D). I plan to put those airy buds in the jars and once cured for a few weeks or so, vacuum seal the jar. I think that might tighten them up but again, have not tried it yet.

Well crap guys, I stayed up too late and overslept, missed my photo window. Will have to wait until lights on now, will just open it up 30mins early. Don't think that will hurt anything this late in the game.

I actually tried that earlier (the usb scope, not cutting it) but will have to wait until lights-off in the morning because it created too much glare on my laptop and could not see anything. Also enlisted some expert help to determine proper timing based on trichomes. Stay tuned! :)

I would go with the 7 gal. I started in a 7 gallon and got 7+ ounces, used a 10 gallon on next grow and got 10+ ounces so larger container = more roots = more bud! still using the 10 gallon. *edit* the approx. 1 ounce per gallon of soil is coincidental am sure... just worked out that way.

Sorry man, I must have missed your posts somehow. I just stopped by to swap veg photos and will need to absorb all that cob stuff. if they really run that cool, i am definitely interested if i can afford 'em. Anyway, here's my girl at day 35, also a photo of the top where i tried to fim it, will...
