    Outdoors in the Texas Heat

    super nova dwc roots?

Dead roots are generally not a problem. The ground is full of dead roots. The problem will come if you let the temp get above 68º Adding an enzyme may help. Sensizyme or hygrozyme are both expensive. I think Sensizyme is cheaper per dose. Frequent rez changes will help also. I have grown...

    Advanced Nutrients Help

The sure fire remedy to maintaining your rez temp is to use a chiller. They are expensive but worth every cent. Check ebay for aquarium chillers. The chiller will need a pump (sold separately) $3-400 for 1/4 horse power $5-700 for 1/2 HP Set it and forget it. You'll sleep better.

    Advanced Nutrients Help

Just get the sensigrow A&B and Sensibloom A&B and your good to go. No additives. I use F1 and Sensizyme, but they are not required. Invest in a good pH meter like a PinPoint and calibrate your meter often. Keep the rez temp below 69ºf I like 66º DWC is a fast fun way to grow hydro.

Dual Areoponic Cabinet, Ceramic Metal Halide

D O = dissolved oxygen As temp increases the amount of DO the solution can hold is diminished. Also as the salinity increases the DO decreases. Nutes are salt, and therefore more nutes = less DO. I do not recommend using epsom salt for hydro. It didn't help my grow and it is not...

Dual Areoponic Cabinet, Ceramic Metal Halide

Thanks for sending me the link Your cabs looks very stealthy. I wouldn't worry about the rez temp being too low, as long as it doesn't freeze. 66º is perfect for sea level and low nute loads. Some guys in Canada run their rez' in the 50's Cooler nutes will hold more D.O. More...

    Dual Areoponic Cabinet Build

Nice job documenting your project. My only concern is the material from your chiller coming into contact with nutrient solution. I assume the heat exchanger is made of aluminum. I'm not sure it will last very long before there is corrosion caused by the salt in the nutes. It may work...
