    Trimming water leafs

I usually go with a no on removing any useful leaves. They are what produces sugars for the plant during photosynthesis so removing them is counterproductive. I only remove yellow or dead leaves to promote air flow. My two cents worth. Good luck

PH and PPM question! Please help =-(

Are you taking the ppm reading immediately following the ph dose? If so, make sure that you are mixing it in well or not sticking the ppm probe right where you perhaps poured it in and didn't stir. Check it again later and see if the ppm level has dropped. Something to try anyway. I'm not...

    plants look sick.

Hey RedzoneFL. Hydro is so much cleaner, don't worry about the haters. You know what they say about opinions. Anyway, If you have the room check out the video on youtube about converting a dehumidifier into a chiller. Its way less expensive than buying a "chiller" and works just as well...

    *****Root rot? BROWN SLIME? HELPPP!****

I didn't see this mentioned, but make sure that your equipment is light tight. If the side of the reservoir doesn't block out the light, cover it with duct tape or something to completely block out any light from shining into the water. Also, there is a video on youtube on how to do a DIY...

electricity bill verrrry high but why? paranoid

The power co. here does those little reports too. I think they are BS. I have been x% higher than neighbors before and my neighbors have higher or equal bills. I personally think its just the power company trying to look like they actually give a crap.

    L.E.D plant burn??? o_O

If you let these go, next time while they are vegging, you should top them to produce more branches/shorter, bushier plants = more flowering tops....Hang in there you're doing good for a first grow....it's a never ending learning adventure....just when you think you know it all, you figure out...

    L.E.D plant burn??? o_O

You will get a lot less stretch, because of the LED's over the CFLs you were using. That and that you're 2 1/2 weeks in is why I wouldn't top these

    L.E.D plant burn??? o_O

If you're still in veg, snip the tops and let them bush, if you're in flower and don't want to delay that, then I'd just remove the burnt leaves. Don't snip them down too far, just the tops. If you're not sure, hit youtube or whatever and watch someone do it first. Generally referred to as...

    L.E.D plant burn??? o_O

Hello. I am not an expert on LEDs, but I did try a 300watt in my 3X3 tent once. I think that because of the shape of the light that, if you're in a closed area, heat will build up and not be able to exhaust normally. You should just get a small fan to help move the air more and the temp...
