    netcup/hydroton to coco transplanting advice.

just wanted to come back and update that i transplanted 4 plants in their netcups with the hydroton into coco and have no ill effects so far, they didn't even take a day to "get settled" theyve had noticeable growth every day since.

    Air stone or diffuser

yea if you need 80+ sites id definitely look into the inline water pump route then, just like i said it gets a bit more costly when you start adding all the bits and pieces you'll need together, i used to manage a large production garden but now i just do 6 plants perpetually for self/family supply.

    Air stone or diffuser

this is another way to go, little more costly though, if you're doing just a small 6-12 spot cloner id go with the setup like mine. also air pumps still make little to no noise when hung properly.

    netcup/hydroton to coco transplanting advice.

okay but i never said i needed it out of the netcup, yes i want to reuse my netcups but i have enough of them that i dont need to remove it at transplant time, i will remove it after the plant has been harvested because at that point i can cut the roots right at the base of the netcup and remove...

    Air stone or diffuser

also just to show you how awesome this things been working for me, these pics were taken 5/26 and 5/31 respectively, you can see the in the 5/26 pic the roots were a little darker color, i had them in small coco pots before setting up the bubbler so i rinsed the coco off and put them in the...

    Air stone or diffuser

YES. diffusers kill it over air stones, ive tried building several bubbler cloners over the years and everytime i used air stones id just watch my poor babies die, the most recent i made uses diffusers only and is incredible! uses 2 10" "bubble wall" diffusers (purchased at petsmart) and a 36"...

    netcup/hydroton to coco transplanting advice.

First off drop the tone bud, were here as a community of people with the same passion, no reason to be hostile towards each other. This is a place to discuss and learn, not to trash others for the way they chose to go about their business. Second, every grower is different, maybe you aren't as...

    netcup/hydroton to coco transplanting advice.

Ive weighed that option as well but id prefer to cut the plant out of the netcup after its finished so i can reuse them and not add them to my list of reoccurring expenses.

    netcup/hydroton to coco transplanting advice.

Sup guys, long story short after some difficulties i finally got my bubble cloner to produce good results, i use rapid rooters when i take clones and when i see roots start to pop i put them in a 3 inch netcup with hydroton and place in the bubble cloner but my flowering tent is setup using...

    phresh filter screws

dude you need to fix the way you have that mounted, zip ties only around the junction box is not smart.. one of these days the junction box is gonna rip off the fan, fans gonna fall, crush poor defenseless plants, and possibly start a fire at the same time.. probly not gonna happen today or...

How loud is your circulation fan?

Lmao my first grow ever i had a 4x4x6.5 tent, my "Grow Guru" (the guy that got me into growing) as i call him, told me to get a 450cfm fan and filter, it worked great but i always thought it was a bit overkill, later on i downsized to a 4x2x5 tent, he told me itd be fine to use that same fan and...

Size of reservoir without the need to top-off for 2 weeks?

This! As other stated of course your nute profile will not be the same after two weeks as it was day 1, but to expect it to be would be rediculous, hell if i could get a nute profile to stay the same that long i just wouldnt ever change it lol. but no you should be fine, i ran E&F buckets for a...

Size of reservoir without the need to top-off for 2 weeks?

i second this, currently my main flowering room is 4x2 with 6 girls in it and i go through 28g of nutes about every 12 days, mine is a drip to waste system though. fairly confident 50g would get your through 2 weeks with E&F, id go with a 55g just to be safe though, plus 55g drums are very...

How loud is your circulation fan?

Thanks TheOracle. i just wanted to make a quick note about the "get a bigger fan than you need" this was the same advice i was given long ago when i started out and i followed it blindly but it wasn't the best advice i could've gotten.. Im a firm believer of 'always do the math' to figure out...

Diving into C02.. here we go

thanks for the input Kratos015. I understand there's alot of negative stigma around the c02 bags but remember im not buying them, im using my own self made mycelium which means i can make adjustments to make it perform as needed, aside from that i've personally witnessed readings of 1200+ppm...

Diving into C02.. here we go

Good afternoon RIU! Today i wanted to touch the topic of supplementing C02, ive been growing for nearly a decade now, have tried a little bit of everything when it comes to growing, but ive never had a need to supplement c02 for my grows before. Let me give you the back story of why im getting...

    Outsider Coming In.

looking good so far Dave. As an experienced indoor grower might i suggest a few things.. nothing that needs to be done asap but just things to think about in the future that'll help you maximize your potential indoors without going "full-scale". for starters a 2x2 tent is a reeeeally small space...

How loud is your circulation fan?

The three things that made the biggest difference in sound dampening for me were as follows: #1- i built a box for my exhaust fan using 3/4" MDF board, i built it so the the fan sits snugly between the boards when sealed, this does mean having to connect ducting before sealing the box of course...
