I will no longer trim before hanging..for real try it...way better...

I can only agree with this. Mr. green thumb is extremely provocative sometimes and acts like a child when you don't agree with him. But to state that the two links to blog posts, which have NO references or sources with evidence, are factual and scientific is simply stupidity. It's good to see...

    Slowly drying...

Your syntax is really weird, you have no punctuation at all but I'll reply anyway. Yes you did say fan on the bud. If you read my previous post I quote where you said it. @ Maximino: 68F is a good temp. I dry my weed in 18-23 degrees Celcius.

    Slowly drying...

You should never let a fan blow directly on the buds when drying.

    Slowly drying...

A healthy steady drying period is around 6-7 days. You should have some way of moving air around inside the drying area, with the help of a fan or the like. 11 days is too long in my opinion and speaks to a too high RH and bad air circulation. I would watch out for mold if I were you. You...

    drying question

It depends on the variables, but 4 days is a quite quick dry. What is the RH, temp etc. in the in drying room? You want a steady drying period of about 6-7 days generally but again that depends on the variables. If you do jar up the bud now make sure you keep and eye on it and burp the jars.

Left untrimmed for weeks. Extremely dry.

You cannot cure the bud once the inner RH of the bud has sunk below 55%. So you can't cure the bud now, therefore you'll lose quality. But you can, as many people have already mentioned, re-hydrate the weed. You will not get the best quality you could have if the situation didn't go to shit but...

How do you cure buds that are too long to fit in mason jars?

I wouldn't recommend using plastic. It leaves a smell and taste in the buds. Glass is inert and is therefore perfect to store in with organic materials. If you can't find big enough glass jars, cut the bud in half. Plastic is not worth it, you can try it out but I bet you'll notice the...

    Trichomes & Harvesting

You don't need to, the change of light is gradual in the real world (outside, using the sun) but the plants can take a swift change without any issues. It takes a few days, maybe even a week or so, before you'll see the plants reacting to the light and begin flowering but there is no stress in...

    Trichomes & Harvesting

Your plants have without a doubt been stressed by the lack of light. It might take a while for them to return to normal bloom, it's hard to say exactly how long and if they will get better but your best bet is to just wait and see and judge them as you go along.

    When do YOU harvest?

Most mobile phones today are 8MP+, I don't know if they all have a macro function but if they do you should be able to use a smartphone to take the pictures. I use a digital camera which cost about $200 a few years ago (it's only 5mp) but it's still working today and has a good enough quality to...

    When do YOU harvest?

I'm not sure why or how checking trichs damages them. What are you doing to your trichs? I use a loupe and/or a camera to take high res pics, I don't damage any trichomes and I can check as many times as I want to. As long as you don't touch the leaves/calyxes with your hands or any other object...

    Trichomes & Harvesting

You're welcome. I like hybrids myself but I prefer pure strains even though some of the best strains in the world today are hybrids. There's nothing like a pure Sativa imho.

    Trichomes & Harvesting

Alright then it makes sense. The reason why it's a different high is because the cannabinoids interact with each other to form the high. So if you grow out your plant with loads of amber trichomes you will dilute the THC high with the sort of sickly amber high. This might resemble a couch-lock...

17 -country eurozone has fallen back into recession

The whole discussion is irrelevant when the OP has thoroughly misunderstood the difference between the eurozone going into a light recession and the 17 nations which make up this zone. The EU is not in a recession anymore and neither are 17 countries (the eurozone) all in a recession. The...

    When do YOU harvest?

Kinda funny to see how many people like to lower the potency of their harvest by harvesting with 50% amber trichomes. Just goes to show how the myths have been pounded into people and they have a hard time letting them go. The amount of misinformation regarding cannabis on the interwebz is...

    Trichomes & Harvesting

It's always good to do small experiments but I would say your premise is flawed. Is the strain you're growing 100% Sativa? Allow me quote myself from the first page of this thread: It's not well known that it's the phenotype which determines the high, not the trichomes themselves. People get...

17 -country eurozone has fallen back into recession

No it isn't. Some of the countries who use the Euro (eurozone) are still in the same recession. Because of this the eurozone went from positive growth to a recession. There's a difference between the eurozone and the EU. The EU as a whole is not in recession and most of the countries in EU have...

    Trichomes & Harvesting

Good. It sounds like you've taken pictures from all over so it's a good overall view of the plant we're getting. That makes it much easier to determine when it's @ peak potency. I do the same myself with my digital camera, I hardly ever use my USB-microscope anywhere, although it's cool to...

    Trichomes & Harvesting

Cheers :weed: Yes exactly, let her take her time. I looked through the photos again and I do see more cloudy and a few more amber but the overall feel I get is that clear is the most prevalent. However that can change rather quickly, so keep a good eye on them. I can't know exactly where you've...

    Trichomes & Harvesting

First of all, thank you for your kind words, I'm happy you found the information helpful. With regards to the trichomes of your plant I see a majority of clear trichs. I do spot some amber and some cloudy but it looks to me as if the majority are clear. And with the extra info of 1 month...
