There are CPU coolers that have been semi converted for LED heat syncs. Personally I'm more comfortable with a large enough heatsync that it doesn't require a fan. Might attach one to mine either way but much peace of mind in knowing that if the fan fails the LED doesn't burn up. ebay...

No. You come across problems when there isn't enough room for roots - it has nothing to do with being in the proximity of other plants (roots don't get tangled with each other)... So 4 plants each in their own 5g pots have a much much higher chance of having problems than 4 plants in a 65g...
