I'm flowering under it too. Don't believe people that tell you you can't. The yield might be a little less but I understand there is a lot of oldschoolers who prefer it due to increased tric's. Which is also strain dependent. Had to throw that in there before I get reprimanded by an hps grower...

To get the adults put equal amounts of apple cider vinegar and water in a cup with some dish soap. They are attracted to the acv and the soap breaks the surface tension so they sink and DIE! We got fruit flies in the house from some produce. The trap had about 1 hundred in it after 1 day.

How important is it to wait for opposing nodes and/or preflowers before switching to 12/12? What are the benefits of waiting? Sorry I meant "alternating nodes".

My advice is to get started and work it out. It's a constant work in progress. I would try to get the room optimized before filling it with plants. Patience is a virtue. I would not change the lights inside the room, just veg with your hps or build a small veg station. I did using a bookshelf...

Hey 12 if your concerned about the yellowing give them some nitrogen. Either with some nutes or dress your soil with some ewc. It's normal, the plant will start to cannibalize itself. Steelheader.
