I would say that 1x600w is plenty for your grow. You can't have temps in the 100's.

A large fan is always a plus when it comes to cooling down the plants, but what are your grow room temps like?

With the DR150II, I really think you would be happier with a 1k lighting set-up. Galaxy makes some nice ballasts, so I would go with them. On the other hand, you can also just add another 600w or 400w to your set-up, but I really think that just 1 600w light will not be enough.

I definitely think it will make a difference for your next grow. You will have complete coverage with 2 lights.

If you can swing a 250w, I would go for that in your set-up. HTG has some good lighting on the cheap. If you can afford this HTG 250w MH/HPS you will not be disappointed and you will see better yields.

When flowering, it's normal for the lower fan leaves that are not getting enough light to fall off as energy is being put into bud production.

Yes, I would go with it. While it's nice to have perlite and vermiculite in soil, it is by no means necessary to a grow. Your grow will be better off with the bagged soil. Good luck!
