Clones cut straight from the mother, could some dark period - say 4/20 (not 420 time) be beneficial for root growth, rather than no dark period at all 0/24? :peace:
My tent survives with straight ducting on either end of the tube, slightly tilt so the heat travels up one end. Have a carbon filter attached to a fan..........and that is it.
I do have a fan inline with the tube also, but this rarely turns on by thermostat at canopy height.
Found another use for the flood trays...........
Sand box for the Rega TT - Avatar is pic of the lower device in the background - Perreaux 250i amp, simply put, it is the 1 of the best marijuana smoke on steroids for an amp !
Google the theory of a sand box if ya into hi-fi. I find a good...
Maybe they should make where you make electrical connections not from plastic then? Hell - all mcb's, rcd's and rcbo's are plastic housed - I am doomed.
You can see the 5mm air gap between the ballast and ply..........I am more worried about the mattress beside, and the roofing paper above.......
Everything you see is temporary until I lock the final system in place - then tidy up. Generally when I am not around, the system is shut off. R.C.D...
My new method works good I think:
Placing only a 1/4 the amount of rockwool in than above. I was packing it in too tightly / much. So the pot on the right has rockwool in the bottom, the one on the left is full of perlite.
I then place the full pot of perlite into the rockwool pot...
Placing my temp probe the recommended 6" from a 400w HPS in cooltube with a 550m3/ph centrifugal fan pulling @ 260v (variac overdrive :) on a 240v circuit NZ ) and passive air intake temp around 18 degres 'c' - I cannot get the temp to 26 degres 'c' at canopy height.
When I lower the canopy...
vent the attic for a minimum (during summer) - i.e - spinning cowl or exhaust, every drop in temp here, will prevent you chasing solutions to temp related problems.
This is the bit that concerns me - "tightly packed" - in the photo I posted with the build up, that is tightly packed and I think it does not work......I changed my method to ripping RW and placing in the bottom and it seems to work much better......?
Good to hear it works fine. I was starting to think 'al b fuct this wont work'
Do you add fresh nutes into half used reservoir? Would this not upset the balance of N.P.K ?
Do you use H202 to combat algae, if not, do you use any other product?
I am sure he has never used perlite. He went from Rockwool or flock pots to using Fytocell with flock in bottom as you described above.
I will be using Canna flores. Ph will be 5.8ish
It was a surprise to me that it seemed to be a bad idea - which concerned me!
I have done some more...
