    Ventilation help required! Ducting

250 cmh is about 8830 cfh. At 4x4x7, vol=112cf. At your specified medium fan setting/capacity, you'll get 79 airchanges every hour, which is more than adequate. If your ducting and filter reduce capacity by 30%, then you'll still get 55 changes per hour. Your setup should be fine from an air...

    Ventilation help required! Ducting

The problem with tents is that if your CFMs are too high, the side suck in too much unless you have side bars, so maybe you want to use flex tubing to lower the effective CFM of your fan and minimize negative pressure in your tent. A note about fan speed controllers...those cheap $15-20 Pulse...

    Ventilation help required! Ducting

Bends on either side of the fan will reduce its ability to convey air (bends on the intake restrict the draw, bends on the exhaust restrict the push). The smoother the bend, the better, so sheet metal duct bends are better than bends in flexible ducting. Larger radius bends are better than sharp...

Canadian weed stocks have a serious accounting problem

Yep, some might say blood on the street, but in the crypto space 40 down from the peak is par for the course and is more like a small flesh wound that requires a tiny bandaid... Suffice it to say, there are two types of people in this world, 1) those who buy a little when there is a little...

Canadian weed stocks have a serious accounting problem

Who is this forensic accountant that doesn't like canadian mj stocks or the frothy blockchain?? Looks like he missed out on the rock solid gains in the mj stocks in the last several months, and the 1000++% gains in the cryptos this past year. I'll pass on his advice.

DIY Cob Light with Cree Yester-Year CXA25xx

Dave, if you don't mind, I'd like for this thread not to be a sales location for any items, including kits, cobs or components. I am sure there are numerous threads focused on that already. Thanks.

    EB Series™ Gen 2 Build

Series circuits: Add up the forward Voltage for each strip in your build to get your total forward voltage (e.g. 10 strips at 23 volts = 230 total volts). Find a driver that has an upper voltage limit that is greater than your total forward voltage and a lower voltage limit that is lower than...

DIY Cob Light with Cree Yester-Year CXA25xx

Cool, are you running that light through flowering? If so, are you supplementing with lower K temp or just using the 5k?

DIY Cob Light with Cree Yester-Year CXA25xx

I am coming to the same conclusion, especially after some of the eb and samsung strip threads. I have some samsung gen 3 strips to play with, I want to mess with the cobs first. My second light will be based on the strips.

DIY Cob Light with Cree Yester-Year CXA25xx

OK, I see the point. when I get some more current cobs and have a replacement light, I'll run some heat tests to see if they can go passive on the same set-up. That would be great if they could. BTW, what cobs and driver are you using, and are you cooling passively?

DIY Cob Light with Cree Yester-Year CXA25xx

that's fine, this is my first light to f around with. I can upgrade it, cannibalize it, or mod it later. The diff in price between the two is more like $80, and agree its not that much, but it will allow me to have a light and buy another driver, which I'd rather have more than only a light...
